USD with the 5 set win over sc. Fascinating match. USD totally tanked in the 3rd set, then rebounded in the 4th. Tercariol set the first 3 sets and Madill set the last two sets. USD hit .114 in the 1st set 2nd .111 3rd .100 4th .258 5th .571 which sounds like an endorsement for Madill setting. Lukes had a very cold start in her first return after her ankle injury, but gained steam as the match went on and finished with 10 kills. Frohling saved USD's bacon with 19 kills hitting .310 |

USD over USC, much the same as the UCLA match. I’m watching the match and can’t figure out how they are in the match, let alone winning. Then I go to the box score after the match looking for answers and it’s even more befuddling. Fortunately the only stat that matters is USD 3 USC 2.

I'm surprised that the BYU/UVU match is on ESPN+, as it was free in the spring. It looks like ESPN and the WAC announced an agreement a few weeks ago.

USD now down 0-2 after Long Beach wins the 2nd set, 25-18
USD leading 11-8 in the 3rd.

I didn't think BYU looked particularly sharp in the first set but it was still 25-16 in the first.

USD trying to get back on track, now leads LBSU 18-12 in the 3rd set.
Meanwhile BYU takes set 1 over UVU, 25-16.
Kenzie Koerber hit .600 (6/0/10) and so did Heather Gneiting (4/1/5). Taylen Ballard-Nixon and Kennedy Eschenbergy had identical hitting numbers at .500 (2/0/4), and Sophia Callahan, playing for the injured Erin Livingston, hit -.091 (2/3/11). They had 4 aces in that set too. As a team they hit .343 (16/4/35) and held UVU to a .091 (8/5/33).
USD has maintained their 5-point lead at 21-16 in the 3rd.

USD wins the 3rd, 25-19. Still down 1-2. BYU up 11-10 in the 2nd at UVU. Now tied at 11. BYU's outsides are both hitting .000 right now.
BYU up 15-13 at the media TO. Koerber hitting .750 (12/0/16), Gneiting .286 (4/2/7), Eshenberg .333 (3/1/6) and Ballard-Nixon and Callahan both still 000. Looks like Koerber is carrying the team at the moment, but I'm not watching, so just guessing based on stats.
USD hanging tough in the 4th, down 8-9.

USD closed to within 1 at 11-12, but now LBSU has pushed it to 11-14.
UVU TO. BYU up 19-16 in the 2nd. BYu picks up 2 points from (block from Koerber/Eshenberg & TBN kill) after the timeout to force a 2nd UVU TO leading 21-16 in the 3rd.
