Scully was obviously a pretty big loss for Pepperdine, but I think Chillingworth has really stepped up and been great at that other OH position.

Pepp 15-12, 3-2 over LMU. I was hoping for a LMU win, but gotta hand it to Pepperdine, they made the plays. Some teams don't lose confidence when they are behind. They just keep calm and grind their way back. Pepp seems very good at that. LMU looked a bit panicky to me at the end of that match. |

Could by why Pepperdine ends up being at the top this year.
Although, LMU showed a lot of grit after losing that 2nd set the way they did. A lot of teams would not have recovered after that kind of a set loss. That in itself was impressive. Both have some pretty dogged determination.

21-16 USD. Santa Clara is really struggling with Frohling's and Lukes' hits...not getting much soft blocks to slow them down.

San Diego takes the fourth set 25-17 and the 3-1 win.
Sangiacomo led with 18 kills hitting .212
Lukes had 17 kills at .179. Frohling had 16 kills at .308

Santa Clara can't keep pace with San Diego in the 4th. I thought they would take sets off both BYU and San Diego. Not sure what to make of them. This is the 3rd season in a row that I've thought they were knocking on the door, but it just doesn't materialize.
