Thoughts on the Pepp LBSU exhibition. Meg Brown is Pepp’s most reliable and best player by far. And her leadership presence for just being a sophomore is undeniable. Pepp will not be a top 25 team this year. agreed.  Some real good pieces...with Meg Brown and Ahrens, but not really any terminal hitters beyond that.  They'll still be solid, and a tourney team I think, but agreed that this is likely not a top 25 team this year.

Santa Clara roster breakdown:

I would be surprised not to find Sangiacomo and Tulino starting at OH again.  That was SCU's strongest position in the spring.  Some of the other OH's might be Opps?  Shaffer has also been successful at Opp in addition to setting.
The middle position should be up for grabs, as no one was healthy enough to play MB last season consistently.
Setting and libero positions also may be up for grabs.

Megan Rice has had an injury plagued career, but when she is healthy, she is a really efficient hitter who can take over a match.  I didn't realize she was still eligible (she was a freshman in 2016), but she will definitely help LMU.

I also just saw that, while Santa Clara sent their graduate student libero, Gretchen Reinert to BYU, Grace Wee has left BYU and landed at Santa Clara.  A little DS/Libero swapping.

It seems like she took last year off to focus on beach because she was on the beach roster. I'm excited to see her play! She looked good and explosive in the clips on LMU's instagram.

Pacific's roster breakdown...fascinating to see 18 players, since in recent years they have been plagued by transfers and had as few as 9 players.  They curtailed their Spring 2021 season after 9 matches, due to an apparent shortage of healthy players.

Obviously at least one of the listed OH's is going to be an opposite... Plenty of new faces.  Other than Sherman at MB, I have no idea who will be starters this fall.
