How long has Hifo been serving for Koerber? Following up on this, I think initially they had Hifo serve for Koerber because she tweaked an ankle in the San Francisco match, but I'm not sure that's why they continued to have someone else serve for her in the following matches. Hifo and McComber are both very good servers, so they may have decided it just makes sense at this point. And maybe they are also trying to minimize Koerber's playing time whenever possible.
Koerber has missed more serves than any other starter (.872 percentage). Taylen Ballard-Nixon is close to that at .877, but she has also served 29 aces, while Koerber has only served 12. McComber has a .950 percentage and just two fewer aces than Koerber, even though Koerber has 106 more service attempts.

LMU can't blame the assistant coaches again for their mediocrity, can they? Losing Geissberger has really hurt. Can't say LMU was having that poor of a season until some of their recent forgettable results.

USF asked their 5'6 Libero to play OH. They got 14 kills vs Santa Clara. The USF struggle is real lol

Didn't realize until last night that they were also without Ella Boehle in this match, who is injured as well.

Gonzaga absolutely steamrolling Gonzaga in set two so far, 11-1.
Is this possible?? 🤪 San Diego's second set is looking almost exactly like BYU's My sister had a good chuckle about this when reading through the match comments last night. I did notice you had quoted me, but didn't realize why at the time because I was too busy trying to keep up with the matches. More proof that I cannot multi-task.

Yeah, this is the conclusion I came to as well. It's a nice luxury for BYU to have six servers who are more effective than Koerber. It's interesting to note that McComber didn't serve much when she was at Washington State, so this seems like a nice byproduct of her transferring to BYU.

Who else is going to submit picks for VT WCC Players of the Week?
Send me your pick for Offensive, Defensive, Setter and Freshman of the Week. Feel free to throw in a pick for National Player and National Freshman of the Week if you want.

Anyone can vote/be a part of the committee. I’ve only been getting about 11 total submissions so we need more people’s input

I only submit for the WCC each week and sometimes NPOW if I feel strongly about it.
