Kylie Pries us back in at OH. Stoner won the MB2 sweepstakes this week. Great news for San Diego.

I like Stoner in the middle. Seems like she has a lot of potential, and it looked like she was moving well when she was blocking.

I like Stoner in the middle. Seems like she has a lot of potential, and it looked like she was moving well when she was blocking. She was 3-0-4 with 5 BA. They didn't set her much, but looks like she does have potential. USD hit .397 and LMU .171. LMU is just limping their way through the second half of the season after a promising start. Do they not believe they can win without Geissberger? Rice led with 10 kills at .350, Booth had 9 kills at .227. The rest of the team didn't contribute much. LMU has lost 7 of their last 8 matches. Eek. Lukes had 14 kills at .308 and Frohling had 11 kills at .556 for USD. Pries added 7 kills at .333 - I'm sure they are thrilled to have her back in the lineup.

LMU is one of the biggest disappointments of the year for me. So much potential at the beginning of the year that just went to waste pretty much after the second weekend of the season. Idk what has been going on, but Booth, Rice, and Klemp should absolutely not be struggling this much. They are good hitters and I'm not sure why they are struggling this much. And yes Pries being back is great for this USD team. Definitely gave USD a steady presence on the OH today. Hoping she keeps it up against Pepperdine saturday and helps San Diego to a win!

LMU started the season 12-1. Now they are on a 1-7 streak. It makes no sense to me, even without Geissberger in the past 5 or so matches. Decent setter, decent libero, some hot hitters, and somehow they are not putting it all together. Losing at Gonzaga was a headscratcher. I thought they should have been able to beat Pacific and Saint Mary's with their current lineup, as well.

Saint Mary's led for much of set one, but then Pacific tied it up at 19. They went back and forth after that until Pacific finally won set one in overtime 29-27 on their 5th set point.

I don't know if any of the seniors are returning for SMC, but if they are, they could be a solid team in the WCC next year.

Pacific has been tough, too. Saint Mary's squeaks out the deuce-set win 25-23 to tie the match 1-1.

Pacific hung on to wind the 3rd wet, 25-23 to take a 2-1 match lead. Fourth set has been just as back and forth as the other three. Tied at 16 currently
Pacific is really pushing the Gaels with their serving. They've served 9 aces to 11 errors.

Pacific gets a block and another ace. Up 21-16 And another point, 22-16. SMC TO. This is the match for Saint Mary's.
Seems like Pacific is just a step ahead in every play. SMC seems to be reacting, rather than dictating.
