Kayleigh Hames isn't listed on the roster for the game stats. Did something happen? Is anyone there? It looks like Grace Chillingworth started as the other OH. (Posted this on previous page: I think Zelaya setting a 5-1, Brown and Ballo at MB, Emma Ammerman at Opp?, Ahrens and Grace Chillingworth at OH? Shields at libero, Stanger at DS? Pepperdine took the first set 25-18, with Ahrens doing most of the heavy lifting with 7 kills at .462)

Kayleigh Hames isn't listed on the roster for the game stats. Did something happen? I believe she got injured during the scrimmage against LBSU

Idk if Wyoming is just a weak team, but Saint Mary's looks really good right now

Idk if Wyoming is just a weak team, but Saint Mary's looks really good right now Looks like stats aren't working. Knudsen is libero. Harrer seems to be playing really well at Opp. From what I've seen in a short bit, Wyoming's passing, setting, hitting haven't been great. . SMC is going to sweep.

Pepperdine gave the second set to Winthrop 18-25, after winning the first set 25-18. It looks like Pepperdine has regained their mojo in the third set, taking it 25-14.
Ahrens has 12 kills, three hitters have 5 each. It's pretty clear what Pepp's offensive strategy is this season.
------
Gonzaga dropped the first set 24-26 to Mississippi St., and the second set is tight. They pulled out their first match over Southeastern Louisiana in 5. 😬
------
LMU is about to start their first match at Purdue.
LMU Starters: Isabella Bareford, S, Kari Geissberger, Mary Shroll L, Rose Booth , Megan Rice, Emmelyn Walters, Jacquelyn Moore

LMU hung tough with Purdue in the first set, ultimately losing 22-25, after having a lead midway through the set.
Geissberger is playing Opp this season, and staying in to hit a D ball in the back row. Rice and Booth are OH's, Moore and Walters at MB. Rice leads with 6 kills, but Geissberger has 5 kills 0 errors hitting .556 for the first set.
----------
Meanwhile, Gonzaga was swept by Mississippi State....what?? (-24, -22, -14)

I just realized that Riley Patterson is no longer on the Pacific roster. She was their best player last season. (I think every year their best player leaves? It seems to be a pattern.) vballfreak808 you are on top of these things...did she transfer? Graduate early and move on? Pacific is down 0-2 to North Carolina, after dropping a very competitive second set. (17-25, 22-25) LMU is playing really tough against Purdue. They might be just one more good middle short of being a great team. Walter is playing well, but Moore and Bagwell have been tried at MB and neither has gotten a kill yet. Geissberger is really hard to stop on the right side and is putting up a huge block. Megan Rice is playing really well at OH. They have a solid back row. LMU up 23-22 in the second set....and they take it 25-23 to even the match at 1-1

Pacific showing signs of life...took the third set from UNC. Edwards has 18 kills on 47 swings. No one else with more than 7 kills.
LMU dropped a tight third set to Purdue, 22-25. Now down 1-2.
Texas beat San Diego 25-19 in the first set. San Diego starters: Goddard, Gabby; Pries, Kylie; Blackwell, Leyla; Frohling, Grace; Tercariol, Isadora; Lukes, Katie; libero Benbow, Annie. So, as predicted, Pries and Lukes at OH. The MB's were a mystery, though, and it looks like Goddard and Blackwell won the jobs.

San Diego drops the second set to Texas 15-25. Tercariol is running a 5-1. Goddard, Blackwell and Stoner have all played MB. Goddard and Blackwell have good percentages, but the team is hitting .140 through two sets. I can't remember when I've seen a USD team with a percentage like that. Pries, Stoner, Frohling all hitting 0
LMU trails 15-21 in the fourth set against Purdue, looking like they will go down 1-3 after a very impressive showing.
Purdue takes the match 3-1 with a 25-20 fourth set. Megan Rice had 18 kills hitting .308. Geissberger had 17 kills at .300. Walters had 10 kills at .562. Bagwell 4 kills at .375. Booth 9 kills at .179. Bareford 44 assists, Shroll 10 digs (seems very low, but everyone was digging....)

LMU might actually be the dark horse for that WCC title. Even with an injured lineup the last several years LMU has still pushed BYU to 5 in Provo before. They could definitely surprise.

USD didn't get off to a good start. Swept by Texas -19, -15, -15.
Meanwhile Santa Clara tied at 10-10 at Oregon....then gave up a 7 point scoring run to the Ducks and lost set one 25-17.
