I like Penn State and GCU going into next year as the top non-Cali/Hawaii teams.
Ohio State is ranked pretty highly in those rankings IMO. Is it impossible, no... but they were rough this year and have been for a while now.

LBSU will be very good. Nikolov and Lawrence are legit. I’d be willing to wager Lawrence ends up playing ahead of Torwie. If Rosenblum is an upgrade to Knipe then look out.

Does Coenen look to become the first NCAA student athlete ever to be a 6 time All American in one sport by returning to Lewis? And if so, does that make them a top 15 team?

My meaningless early top 15. 1. UCLA (If S. Kobrine is back) 2. LBSU 3. Pepperdine 4. Penn State 5. Hawaii 6. Grand Canyon 7. UCSD 8. Loyola (If Zolg is back) 9. Ohio State 10. UCI 11. BYU 12. CSUN 13. UCSB 14. USC 15. Princeton I love how we have to insert all these caveats as to who returns. But that is the COVID reality. I'm almost perfectly aligned with you. I have Penn State lower, because the last two times they played tough opponents outside the EIVA (Lewis this year and UCSD last year), they got beat pretty convincingly. Long Beach is the wildcard for me, because Torwie could be another Rado or he could fizzle out. 1. UCLA (If S. Kobrine is back and Genis comes to town) 2. LBSU 3. Pepperdine (If Jaspers transfers) 4. Hawaii 5. UCSD (If McCauley and Harrison are back) 6. Loyola (If Zolg is back) 7. Penn State 8. Ohio State 9. Grand Canyon 10. CSUN (If Wetter and Ptaszynski return) 11. UCSB 12. Princeton 13. BYU 14. UCI (If Flexon transfer in) 15. IPFW *Jasper

Rosenbloom is arguably the greatest setting prospect I’ve seen come out of Southern California since Josh Tuaniga. 6’6”, silky hands, lightning quick feet, incredible athlete. If this kid can’t carry Long Beach to national title #4, then no one can. If this kid isn’t starting every match and playing every single second, then I suspect there’s some funny business going on...

I'll believe it when I see it.

With the June 1 in-person recruiting now open, who has recruiting news for the HS 2022 players?

Did Long Beach pick up another setter? Hard to rely on one setter the entire season for every match. Is Poole coming back for a fifth year?
Sam Kobrine has a year of eligibility left. Is he going to stay at UCLA for graduate school or going to graduate school somewhere else?
Pepperdine looks loaded.
There will be a lot of freshmen and sophomores who have had to wait to play who will get their opportunity and who knows who will shine. Some will be 4th year covid/redshirt sophomores (eligibility wise) so will have a lot of experience practicing against college level players.
Next year doesn't looks like there will be 2 or 3 teams that standout above the rest.
Sam Kobrine is going to USC
