BTW, are there any news if Thelle, Rosenfeld, Humler and Akana will do a Gage Worsley and end their college career in 2022? Its just their 3rd playing year technically but they are eligible to graduate too.

Koa, I know you are the most knowledgeable Hawaii mens poster on here, but I have not seen a thing that makes me buy into the Todd hype until he does it in a match. He looked awful when he came in last year against San Diego and Irvine. No chance he is the 2nd or 3rd best opposite the A side saw last year: Gabi Deweese Olivier or Godbold And heck I’d take Collin Shannon over him and probably whoever Irvine had in at the time. I don’t think Todd would have started for a single Big West team last year True, some people dismisses other people opinion with the mindset "we know more than you so your opinion sucks". Todd is hype I agree. If he is better than Dimi, then why would they insert Dimitrios over Todd in certain matches last season. Todd might be good going into the program but other people improve more. If Todd gets the start, I will be very surprise considering the experience pf Dimitrios. Dimi didn't play last season, when the team won the national championship. He was back home in Greece getting his surgery and rehabbing. I believe he took a redshirt year. He played his true freshman season.

But my point is, he has played way more than Todd ever did. And Todd is older than him in the program. If he is really better than Dimitrios, then why did they put Dimitrios over Todd?

USC and Loyola are also coming to town via Cindy Luis twitter. Might be a third not sure whom though. UH, USC and Loyola usually take their time on releasing their schedules so it might be awhile.

Nice, sounds like we are aiming at the out of conference schedule being relatively tough although i appreciate what Wade was doing bringing his caliber of team out to play some of those small conference teams and vice versa. Growing the game at collegiate and prep level is something every men’s coach should be trying to influence

koavball is there a need to bring up stuff years later. Why live in the past and bring up something years later? Very, very petty.

I wonder if a certain user even read the comments? When have I said the Todd is better than Dimitrios? Well, he has consistently attacks people. So why am I surprised?

Costas played as an amateur with pros in a tournament. He took no money (did not get paid) but at that time it was against the rules for men's volleyball even though other NCAA sports athletes are allowed to play with pros - golf is a perfect example. At that time NCAA golfers could entered tournaments and play with pros and as long as they didn't get paid they would keep their amateur status. I believe the NCAA has changed that unfair rule since then. Yes, I believe that was the reason. Even Barnett told Sunderland during the Men's Championship that it was bogus asterisk for the 2002 championship. If I'm not mistaken, they took the NCAA championship away from Hawaii, but the MPSF upheld Costa's stats or something. Though it’s been nearly two decades since they stripped Hawaii of the NC, I wonder if there’s still anything UH can do to appeal it? Especially with the recent changes to the rules in NCAA regarding athletes earning money, etc. Just throwing it out there.

I think some of us Hawaii fans (myself included) get overly excited about foreign recruits. I mean, Hawaii's history with foreign recruits include the only POYs, and multiple AA awards. From UV, Costas, Azenha, Umlauf, Sedore, Siki, SVT, and Rado, Hawaii's international players have panned out. Costas doesn't count, didn't he get busted for cheating and cost UH a national title? You obviously have no idea of wth you are talking about.

An idiot will always be an idiot. You can’t teach an old dog new tricks. Emphasis on OLD. Yea my statement obviously went way over your head. Not sure why you feel so attacked i was literally stating what you feel is being discussed but literally no one is having the argument that Todd is better than Dimi besides you. I can quote you if you would like? For whatever reason you feel pressed and I don’t get it. The discussion is WHY the opposite position is wide open and I’m sorry but if you have not been following the team closely then idk what to tell you. Dimi could have been ahead of Todd at first and then he was injured, who knows where he is at by this point. For all we know, Humler could he past his illness and be ahead of them both, he did come in as an OPP. And cut all that “certain user” nonsense. This is the men’s forum, say it with your chest lol

A certain user it seems is too old and too sensitive to be participating in forums. Their feelings get hurt when people don't agree with them.
Ironic that this person is way too old already and yet act like a child.

Ironic that this person is way too old already and yet act like a child. Lol if you would have never alluded to me this conversation wouldn’t even be happening but ok you’ve established that you’re a joke and make zero sense. Moving on then…. This team has a lot of upside with its potential depth. I think the major question is going to be who is going to be the big point scoring pin. On Paper it should be Chaz and I’m sure another year of getting older and stronger will do him good. I thought Spyros was fine, not spectacular by any means, but he did well for a true freshman. If that’s the outside pairing UH runs with then hopefully the offense speeds up a little bit. I don’t know if we have a “big gun” opposite hitter this year and that’s concerning to me only if Thelle does not adjust to better involving his middles and mixing them in for a more balanced offense. Most of the season he still had that European mindset of rarely using middles instead of prioritizing them to create space in the block. We should be good in the middle but i also hope there are setters that will push Thelle and force him to keep his middles involved like Sheward had some a couple seasons ago. Libero will be a mystery, we’ll see if any leaders emerge
