Glad to see that USA Volleyball is picking up and training in late July/early August as another good sign of continuation. Last years of course was cancelled.

Did the NTDP announcements for the boys go out? I've been watching Facebook for people that I know participated in A1 previously and I haven't seen anyone post that they got an invite. There was one U20 announcement in the HP thread on the Women's/Girls side, but that's the one one so far.

With the closing of ASC, where are they training now?

On the ASC website it states that the facility is open at 9:00 AM today so I am assuming they are continuing on some basis. I would be surprised to see Anaheim Convention Center open for such a small group of 15 volleyball courts.

ASC as everyone knew it no longer exists. They lost their lease last August due to strict California Covid lockdowns. USAV women's and men's national teams continue to train there. Their offices, strength/conditioning facilities as well as 12 volleyball courts remain. They operate as the USA Volleyball National Training Center. NTDP invitations went out last week for the following groups- MCNT (Men's Collegiate National Team) Men's U21 Boys U19. USAV has also invited U19 teams from the following federations- Bulgaria, Canada and Puerto Rico. All groups will participate in training/competition from July 28-August 5.

Interesting that they moved the date back one week (probably didn't want to compete with the regional All Start tournament that was created to fill the gap). Only downside is that it now overlaps with the Beach HP in Ft Lauderdale that is running from July 26th-31st.

Can anyone confirm that the u19 roster went out? I would say USAV generally makes a pretty big deal over the release of those teams. Also it wouldn’t make sense to select players before spectating at the largest bid tournament in the nation in JBI.

Yes as far as I know the invitations for the training in July went out this past weekend.

Without rehashing the same discussion that has taken place since USAV decided to move to the scouting approach, all I can say is that you're not alone with your concern over how the NTDP players are seen, or more importantly, not seen.

bro? jordan lucas is a top player in 2022?? you trippin😭😭 I wouldn’t say that. I would give him Top 15. Let’s not forget he dropped down to 17s because he was doing poorly in 18s. Also his need for attention is second to none. In my opinion it’s the reason why he’s not committed or getting a ton of interest. i think saying jordan lucas isn't at least top 8 is just homophobic lol
