Good to see Wetter gaining deserved inclusion with the group.

Did Galloway try out, surprised he didn't make the cut if he did. Side note: I know nothing how the selection process works. I read invitation in the previous posts but why no tryouts? Has it always been this way? Just seems weird to me. Chapman or Barsemian play for instance but I know they’re both older guys who definitely won’t ever get a national team look Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if Chapman got a look at some point... He plays OH/OPP/MB all unbelievably and signed a contract in the French A League (Same league Averill, Ma'a) might be the best NAIA player of all time.

I definitely think Chapman is worth a look at middle, maybe on the right. Not sure if I see him as a long term outside that would jump ahead of some of the other guys that are on the depth chart

He is definitely talented enough to get a look and a call into camp. I just think he is best suited in the middle or on the opp. Not sure if he is a good enough passer to beat out the top 8-10 outsides in the pool.

I don’t believe anyone has mentioned this but the addition of Knipe to the Collegiate group coaching staff was unexpected from me at least, in the 3-4 years I’ve been paying attention to USA VB I’ve never really seen or heard of him being involved with any teams like so many other head and assistant coaches are on the men’s side. Is there a reason for that that anyone knows or have I just not noticed his presence? That being said it’s awesome to see and between him Hunt and Sato (no shade to the HC McGown but idk who he is) the staff from top to bottom for those boys is looking stellar, along with the coaches for the U-21 and U-19 teams respectively

Coach Knipe is a stellar addition to an already amazing staff. To jog memories- Knipe was the USA National Team coach for the 2012 Olympic Games and had along side him as assistants, among others, Gary Sato and a kid at the time named John Speraw.

There’s one very obvious reason why Knipe is coaching in Anaheim Amd that is because his son is going to be there at the same time.

I'd put my money on the fact hat he made it to the top and was the actual National team head coach before Speraw. It is great to have another top coach involved.

For Tallvolley- Aidan Knipe, Coach Alan Knipe’s son and LBSU setter, will not be training in Anaheim…

Yea, I believe Dillon Klein is one of the top 3 players if not the best player in the 2022 class. I have heard from super reliable sources that he's a great team leader and an awesome teammate. Super excited to see what he will bring next year in 18's.

while he is a very talented player, it is pretty widely known that Klein would be the worst possible option to represent USA, issues on and off the court with attitude Confused on how he would be the worst possible option if he's a very talented player? Didn't his Manhattan Beach Surf team do well in Las Vegas and his Loyola High School team do well in CIF too? Can totally see him being a hot head, from what i've seen he gets very engaged but never seems to be a bad teammate? USA is a very proud and respectful organization, Dillon Klein is a poor teammate a poor sport and all around a bad representative for USA

He was invited and declined the invitation because he wanted some time off before his senior year. Also who cares if someone is a little fiery and talks some sh!t the sport needs that again!
