Florida State is destroying Stanford 5-1 in the final. FSU was too good this year, similar to Texas volleyball last year.

UCLA was in danger territory of being upset in the NCAA Tournament, yet again.
They needed a Penalty Kick in double overtime to survive California Baptist at home.

Santa Clara beats old WCC rival BYU 1-0 in Provo. Tough matchup for BYU, but they lost a ton to graduation from last year's Final Four team and also had a fair number of injuries. Overall, I'd say it was still a good season. They're really young, so hopefully, they take a big step next year.

Santa Clara beats old WCC rival BYU 1-0 in Provo. Tough matchup for BYU, but they lost a ton to graduation from last year's Final Four team and also had a fair number of injuries. Overall, I'd say it was still a good season. They're really young, so hopefully, they take a big step next year. And Santa Clara has 3-1 edge in the last four matches against their next opponent... UNC. As a Carolina fan, this one popped out in a very negative way when I saw the bracket first. The last time we played, we lost in the College Cup in 2021 (which was technically 2020-21 season). |

Don't look now, but UCLA is in trouble again, trailing Virginia Tech 2-1 late. Defending champ Florida State is out after losing in penalties to Vanderbilt. I was watching after USC escaped an absolute battle with Saint Louis. UCLA had an embarrassing own goal to give VA Tech their first goal - and then gave up another quickly after. GK was pissed. But then UCLA scored and had several chances to tie but comes up short. Was also rooting for Santa Clara to take out North Carolina. Brutal loss for the Broncos - North Carolina scored with 17 seconds left. |
