Presho probably wants to play for a winning program before his eligibility runs out. Presho has been at Stanford for 4 years and only had 1 winning season…at that was 15-11. Not really good for your soul when you bust your butt and ended up with only one winning season. At UH, he will get the taste of being a winner and the joy of playing in front of the biggest crowd in men’s volleyball. I’m sure he will have a fun last season. Who wouldn’t want to live in Hawaii for a year?! That alone justifies the decision.

Now that dad is not there, Kyler will have a chance to be one of the few father/son volleyball player at UH. Kyler’s name is already in the record book even before the first serve.

Fun fact to tie this thread together: Presho and S Kobrine played on the same 949 18s team.

he made it somewhat official on his graduation post from Stanford. at the end he said "Now onto grad school" with a wave emoji which basically means pepperdine.

although public news already, they do have Sam Kobrine under USC now, so wouldn't be surprised if they got the info from Jaylen directly and updated it for the list.

Preshos latest insta post makes me think he’s staying at Stanford I think it's a possibility that he stays at Stanford, but on his insta bio, he does include a link to the article that says he will be coming to Hawaii. The article was written a little more recently than his latest insta post, so we'll wait to see until an announcement is made.

That is a huge Collegiate National team roster. Are they going to split the roster into 2 or 3 teams and scrimmage against each other? If they go that route, will they try to pick an A team and a B team (and C team) or will they try to match the teams to try to make them about equal?

This is such an obnoxious and asinine assumption. I’m sure there is more to Kyler Presho, and the vast majority of college volleyball athletes (both men and women) for that matter when it comes to deciding which school to enroll in besides merely “wanting to play for a winning program.”

Not obnoxious/asinine whatsoever. Stanford had the tools to be successful each year he was there and just never panned out. America puts a Stanford education on a pedestal, which it more or less deserves, but I’m sure a high level athlete wants at least one year feeling like a big dog.

I expect that thinking from a high school player. Thats a very shallow mindset. To be in a team just because they are winning. Athletes want to play. Not to be sidelined. Most student-athletes do change schools because of playing time. If Preshno does move to UH I would think its because of the instability and the lack of trust already with the stanford athletics.
