-This is great experience for athletes like KP, Tapp, Wilhite. -Only the best athletes should be on the floor. This is the one I don't get. Why are we upset our starters aren't playing... against Canada... in the VNL? (The rest of your post is a little whack <3) Because they haven't played as a team in international competition in quite a long time, and the Olympics are not far off. |

This tournament is five weeks long. No team is starting their best Olympic starting roster right now. (Maybe Turkey?) The Olympians will play... don’t fret. Wearing them out right now would be silly. Everyone just finished playing nine months of volleyball. They need *some* down time before they can peak again in Tokyo. I expect that players will all rotate in and out so that nobody in contention for the Os is completely overworked. |
