So...how will Plummer, if she does go on court, do against a stronger team like Brazil?

Why were some of the times changed? I had this match originally at 3pm ET.

As much i like swp and plummer to play this match. I feel like it's more ideal to put your possible olympic lineup there to test see what are missing. Swp/plummer/tapp will have their chance in few months/a yr. to see what they're missing? Larson/Hill/Krob/MBH are all going to give what they have for the past 5-10+ years. If they dont know what they offer by now..... well thats on them lol They need to see what the other players can offer. All three of those players are different than what the norm offers for sure but team chemistry and playing again is different. They played 2 yrs ago with NT for sure. So if your goal is just to test your new players for this vnl whole tournament and not to let your possibly olympic lineup play together against strong team. then there is no sense of bring them there.

We're in Week 1 of what, 5? They'll be fine. I don't think that... they're training with each other and getting better. Italy/Serbia/China aren't playing against good players in their training right now. The americans are, even if they're not playing in matches.

If there's one swap from the first match lineup I would like to see, it's Poulter for Carlini. Is Poulter injured though?

I made the assumption when Karch said there were injuries and we hadn't seen Poulter in practice videos for awhile. (and wasnt on the week 1 roster, but weekly rosters aren't a thing anymore) But she was suited up yesterday

I just want Poulter in there because I don't know if I can watch another match where Carlini sets the right side at least once every point...

I don’t think Plummer plays today, she’s played a lot this week. If she starts again, I think Karch is giving her a considerable look into Tokyo

Every time I think I Fe Garay, i think of those nasty OOS swings she took in the 2012 final. There was one that just went perfectly back left corner. But from the last two matches, it doesn’t look like she’s as aggressive as she was then, which is kind of expected being 9 years older now

She’s still very aggressive and looks like she hasn’t aged at all lol
