It all comes down to Buij's ability to pass. The last time these two teams met, the USA shredded her. The Dutch have a lot of young talent on their roster that could tip either way. I hope the match is at least exciting and competitive. |

What I want today:
Hancock/Drews
Robinson/MBH
Tapp/Dixon
Courtney
We need to see Hancock. Yes, it's clear she's #3 and is probably a lock she'll be left off the Tokyo roster, but she at least needs a shot. That said, I'm expecting Poulter again.
I think the staff views Drews as the starter, so if it is Hancock, then I think it's a lock we see Drews to see that connection. I'm not sure if the plan is told keep Robinson on the shelf a little longer, but I'd like to see her today against an above-average opponent. I think MBH needs another day after yesterday to try to find her groove (same could be said for Kim Hill). Neither middle has played for 2 matches, and the Dutch are a good enough opponent to throw them out there and accept their successes/shortcomings as relevant data. I think Courtney gets the nod all week, and she should.
All that said, I wouldn't be shocked in the slightest if I'm 0/7 on this lineup haha
