Zero reason this match should be this close.
The intensity on USA's side is not full on.
as a player it’s hard to stay focused when your opponent is completely outmatched.

she averaged barely over 2 kps in italy this year.... that was even less than Courtney

True, but what does that have to do with the Olympics? All the teams will be A-rosters in Tokyo. Sorry, I'm off topic here. Everything. We look deep right now playing weak teams. That won’t be the case against the top 5 teams come Olympics.
I think that USA's biggest weakness is their lack of consistency sometimes.
Having someone come off the bench and go off benefits the U.S. more so than most other countries. I mean, I'd love to see Plummer come in late in sets and hammer some balls against top teams. Same with Hancock, I'd like to see her come in as a serving sub, which could swing some sets.

I don't follow stats as much as you, but I had this feeling watching her in Italy this past season.

Egonu didn’t help. What was Sylla/Adam’s doing? Sylla was at 2.5, Adams at 2.65. Both hit for higher %'s (Hill was at 2.11) Prob cuz Hill was busy passing half the court next Monica.

I don't follow stats as much as you, but I had this feeling watching her in Italy this past season. It was visibly down.. that’s stats definitely don’t look good but the roll shifted I think

Glass would shoot her way too many balls during the last quad. Maybe she needs every other set to be productive. That said, she still isn’t getting the set she needs most times, today.
