Yikes… Edit: Dalcena and Cribb also dropped. Gstaad is often cited as players’ favorite place to play also. Still curious what happened to Alix and April. Last Thursday they won their elimination matches 21-12, 21-12 and 21-14, 21-9. No sign of any difficulty there. Then suddenly on Friday they dropped out. So strange. April’s IG story is her on the beach and Angie is working with Alix. Hopefully nothing to big and it was out of precaution.

Kerri is officially off the entry list for Gstaad. Brooke is playing with Delaney now. They have 820 entry points together, so that puts them behind Cannon/Reeves (910) and ahead of Wiggle (770). Those three will all be in the CQ, and most likely Hughes/Day, so there would be four teams playing for two spots. That would make it Hughes/Day vs Wiggle in one and Cannon/Reeves vs Brooke/Delaney in the other. We will see what the list looks like when it gets finalized this week.

Presumably this means that Brooke wasn't that badly injured, so that's good to hear. This looks like Hughes chance to make it into a tournament might finally come. I'd predict Hughes and Brooke to make it through, but want Cannon/Reeves to have a shot.

Hughes/Day are also registered in the 2* Rwanda event the following week.
Also, Hughes’ 5th place finish (her share of 480 points) from 2019 World Champs will drop at the end of this month.

Wow. The McNamaras are directly into the MD and Hughes/Day are in the MD as well. No more CQ for them for the first time in their partnership!

Day/Hughes will officially make their first tournament together this year! They just squeezed into the MD as the 23rd seed. Of another wildcard had been given out, they would be on the outside looking in. Slaes is the 6 seed, and Stockman/Kolinske are the 17 seed. That leaves Cannon/Reeves to play the winner of Brooke/Delaney vs Wiggle in the CQ.

Is it confirmed Gstaad is not awarding points? What about prize money?

Is it confirmed Gstaad is not awarding points? What about prize money? It’s not confirmed. And prize money is still the same as a regular 4*.

I feel awful saying this, but Hughes/Day will go 0-2 no matter who ends up in their pool.

I don’t see a schedule yet, but it sounds like the CQ matches will be tomorrow (Monday).

Looks like Quiggle/Wheeler won both matches to advance to the qualifier.

Looks like Quiggle/Wheeler won both matches to advance to the qualifier. Yep. Does anyone know where we can watch the CQ marches?

Wiggle got past their first Q match against Harnett/Dormann from Canada in three (21-14, 13-21, 15-6). They will play Soria/Carro from Spain in the play-in match. They are scheduled to play at 9:00am Eastern, but the match before them hasn't started yet.

2CQ and 2Q matches later, Quiggle are into the MD.
