While setting won't win a gold, it will lose it. If we can't get tempo right (ah hem, Poulter), we're in trouble...and it won't matter how many swings or serves little Ms. Hancock takes. you’re like really mad about Carlinis exclusion acting like she played great in either of her VNL matches. I see all this talk about how we have 3 AMAZING setters and honestly none of them have really played all that great this whole tournament save Poulter against Brazil. Her tempo to the outside was much better than Poulter's. Her connection back row was as good, if not better. Her defense is better. Her setting middle wasn't great but she didn't have the opportunity to given the passing. I don't think I EVER said her play was amazing this VNL, but her portfolio of work is better than Poulter's. If I can't comment on how awful Poulter's tempo to the outside was today...screw it...I can and will comment on it. Not good. Do you expect me to be thrilled based on Poulter's performance today that Carlini was excluded? |

i know this isn't the time , but i'm a bit worried about the future of usa volleyball especially with the level of play in college decreasing (imo)
