Per FIVB: Attack Drews 18-5-30, .500 Bartsch 16-2-33, .424 Robo 9-6-32, .094 Foluke 7-2-13, .385, Washington 6-1-12, .417 Reception Robo 5 pos / 9 total / 0 errors JWO 8 pos / 29 total / 2 errors Bartsch 6 pos / 29 total / 3 errors look at those hitting percentages...whoever said Poulter can’t run an offense.

It's okay to say she struggled, she did. there were a lot of good tips to make up for it. It'll get better (the connections). She hasn't played with them in what, a week? (Hancock had the last four matches right?) They got 1.5 months to get it together.

Looks like Italy used the age-old strategy of teams playing Robinson - serve the other side of the court.

Okay she’s uncancelled. Also those middles and Drews HP are great. Also USA only had 125 attacks, Italy had fewer. That's low for a four-setter in a women's match. Lotta errors and messiness.

I get that as fans we want perfection, but these seven players literally haven’t ever been on the court for the USA at the same time if you really think about it. It’ll take them some time to get it together. I for one was exercising inner peace for the entire match and looking at the positives there were.

I dont think Poulter played amazing at all, but she kinda dealt with what she could get from the backrow. JWO probably had the worst VNL match. MBH and Robinson didnt pass dimes either. It was a messy game, but those games happen. As long as we learn and get the win.

I calculate about 0.330 for the team. Those passing stats look terrible, but maybe I'm not used to how FIVB calculates them. I wish they would count free balls.

USAV usually posts a more useful stat sheet with better passing stats.

Also, do the net tape serves count as an error for passing?
Or how do they deal with that?

It's perfect. At least, that's what I've deduced, from the actual released boxscores and comparing it to the positive and perfect %'s they've been showing on their broadcasts.

I know the NCAA doesn't give a damn, but you would think the FIVB would do points by rotation. They probably do. But you'd think they'd highlight it. FBSO% too.
