I know that this is early, but I sure am hoping that Purdue has a phenomenal year. It’s kind of scary thinking of who we can potentially never see again after this year…Bush, Johnson, Cleveland, and M. Hornung. It will be weird seeing a new setter for Purdue after Bush leaves. Does Cleveland not have any interest in pro ball?

Otec’s on that list too then, right? Isn’t this her 5th year? Still would like to know if Cleveland wants to play professionally lol. I’ll keep watching her!

Hornung, Johnson, and Bush could potentially come back since they have a bonus year, right? Or is the bonus year only for Newton and Otec?

Or is the bonus year only for Newton and Otec? I'm pretty sure the bonus year was just for last year's senior class. Teams next year will be losing LOTS of players All four could return for an extra year as they were a part of the 2020-2021 team. All student-athletes already on a roster in the 2020-2021 season were granted an extra year of eligibility, whether they competed in that season or not. The thing is, the Super Seniors who are playing this season don't count against scholarship limits. Starting with the 2022 season, they will. Though, I don't forsee Bush staying another year since she graduated with Otec in the Spring (Newton graduated in December), the others could very well stay! baytree can probably explain this better but here's the info: I thought the COVID extra year was for seniors last year only. It's for all wvb players (or other fall/winter sports). The difference is that for this year only, players who came back for their fifth year didn't count against the scholarship limits but only if they had played on that team in fall 2019. E.g., a player could come back for a fifth year on her team and get a scholarship that would not count against the 12 scholarship limit. But if she transferred to another school and got a scholarship, that counts against the 12-scholarship limit. So Mac May doesn't count against UCLA's limit but Sabrina Smith counts against USC's. After this year, it will count for all players, even those who stay with the same team. www.ncsasports.org/coronavirus-sports/ncaa-eligibility-coronavirus

There are two things I noticed over the last two weeks that I wanted to bring up/hear more opinions about.
1. When I attended the Purdue-IU game at IU, I noticed Lourdes was warming up strictly on the right side. I have been wondering how the middle position is going to play out with the incoming talent as well as the young talent we already have. I can definitely see her moving to the pin next year, but I'm not sure how easy the transition will be moving into games.
2. I also noticed Ali Hornung played a little bit of outside and had two solid blocks while she was out there. Did they keep her there for the fun of it or were they intentionally seeing how she did? I know she's undersized and she's been mostly in the DS role this season, but are they considering her as a hitter after Newton leaves? Thoughts/opinions?

So stressful watching 👀 the Boilers get Shondell Win 400 over Illinois last night at Huff Hall. ⭐️🚂🏐 Moving the Drew Brees and Joe Tiller 🏈 bobble heads next to the TV after set 3 must have been the key. 🔑 Doesn’t help much for football but apparently it does for volleyball. 😳 Who knew? 🙄

Could you imagine being a coach in the Big Ten trying to prepare for Purdue? One night you are planning for Newton, Ellis, Trammell, Johnson, and then the very next night it could be Newton, Koch, Johnson, Colvin, or in last night's case Newton, Colvin, Tramell, Koch! Man.... The depth...
