Hey! Some of us just need more than a week to get over it ok. I'm almost there....but bear with us Carlini stans a bit longer please. Some of us believe that with out her, the teams gold medal chances, slim as they were from the get go, have possibly evaporated. We just need a bit to come to terms with that new reality. I still hope for the best for USA. However, I am cautiously optimistic that the team can keep up this trend, with the chosen Olympic roster. They still haven't been properly tested against a single opponents A-team. Brazil was close but not quite their best line up. So until the team is tested (probably not until we face China next week), those of us who advocated for other players, will continue to be vocal. You are welcome to hit that block button in the meantime. @madden54 - the block button has been a friend of mine I've only ever blocked one poster on here. I don't use it lightly. But if someone's posts really bother you, you can do it temporarily and then undo it later correct?

They were toxic and most folks on here probably ran them off the board. 😬🤷🏻♂️

according to graphics, the USA is at 78% positive receptions... we're not losing to anyone passing like that. Yes, IMO, this is a huge factor that will win us GOLD in Tokyo.

That being said, Japan's B team is probably not much different than their A team.

I think the scores were closer than the actual match. USA was up like 23-16 in set 1 before Kurogo destroyed Krob from the service line. Set 2 was actually close (USA made a comeback) A lot of it was USA couldn't get anything from Drews. If JT had played (and probably would've if Karch cared) it wouldve been worse (she was 7-0-11 on the doub sub)

I wanted JT to start today and Drews tomorrow (reversal of their club affiliations)

Watching this match the question that comes to mind is, how can Karch keep MBH off the floor and what does that mean regarding Larson or k Rob in the other slot. Hill seems relegated to the serving sub role with either Hancock or Poulter in the double sub. Can JT break out and replace Drew's as the starter? And do they give Hill a chance to replace MBH if she struggles? Even this year Hill had some some high scoring matches for Imoco but she certainly would no longer be seen as an offensive OH.
