I changed my vote on the poll. I was the one NO vote. I was just bitter that Japan didn't start their best lineup this morning. Then, I took a nap. All better now. 😒😬😊

The real question is can the team adjust IF our system is shut down by Turkey's block. Eda and Zehra are probably one of the best middle blocker duos in the world right now. If we get OOS, I expect USA to struggle. We also have to serve tough so that Ozbay cannot run their middle. Zehra was unstoppable vs. Japan. Granted, USA's block is significantly better than theirs, but still, we have to serve tough, or this could flip upside down on the USA. Turkey rides on their emotions, just like Brazil. Underestimating them would be most unwise. Best line-up: S: Ozbay OH: Baladin, Ismailoglu MB: Erdem-Dundar, Gunes OPP: Karakurt L: Akoz If Baladin struggles we have been seeing Ercan enter for her. I would really like to see Derya Cebecioglu or Saliha Sahin come in for her, just to see what happens. With Ercan, you are getting almost ZERO offensive output from her. Then, the team rides the middles in system or the OPP OOS. Boring. Guidetti knows he cannot defeat the USA, or any top team really, if the left side is not contributing to the offense. I'm curious to see who all suits up tomorrow on the pins. I also wonder if Naz is now not being considered for the Olympic roster?! Surely Buse Unal isn't taking her spot is she?! Naz should go for sure... she brings the level headed experience that Cansu has been lacking.

Manifesting a Chiaka-Zehra front row matchup for all three rotations. If Chi can get past her, then she can get past anyone. I think Zehra is one of, if not the best in the world right now. And she is all of 20? 21?

Manifesting a Chiaka-Zehra front row matchup for all three rotations. OMG. I just realized they will be playing opposite each other at Vakifbank next season. What a combo!

She is a very good setter at times, good server, decent blocker/ defence, but she can be indecisive, not really a floor leader, struggles with confidence and setting consistency when her confidence is low. I’m not sure why she sat out for the first three weeks though? I would think they play her the first few weeks to give her more experience with the A-team.

I hope we see Drews, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Thompson. Drews struggled a bit today. She hasn't faced a duo like Eda/Zehra yet The Opps have been playing every other match. So, I expect Thompson will start, but we could see Drews sub in at some point.

Have they really rotated every match so far?! I have not been paying attention to the pattern.

Yes, with the exception of the 2nd & 3rd matches.
I've been keeping a worksheet of all the starters since VNL started.

It was either no color or gray. I like distinctions.
I also kept the alternates on the sheet because I have an odd feeling that we will see one of them replace one of the Tokyo 12 before the start of the OG.
One interesting observation I just saw today was that Tapp played in 3 matches, all other alternates only played 2. Makes me think she was in the running as the 4th MB.

Dixon played 3 matches too. But I agree with you -- just looking at this chart shows Karch knew exactly who he wanted before VNL started other than that 3rd MB, IMO.
