Then there is the Thanos opinion that the human herd needs thinned out to balance out the ecosystem. but I suppose that could fall under the "we should have done less" option

What?
At the very least, we should have been much much much more “severe” early on.

There are still way too many Americans not taking it seriously. Or just being selfish bastards. I fear we are far from out of the woods.

I am LOVING that show so far!

Tennessee Valley Authority? claiming "eminent domain" to seize land and then flood it by damming up the river?

Odd - that a couple put in Government Health Care provided the vaccine?
I still maintain - the only thing that would have materially changed the outcome was a complete shutdown of our borders by mid to late January. I am not sure this country would have stood for this. Second - we should have been much quicker to protect the most vulnerable (but then this is after the fact 20/20 hindsight). The small variances by the states in terms of 'shutdowns' had virtually no impact on deaths.
The biggest issue going forward is vaccine hesitancy. We are probably close to herd immunity, but also not far enough to prevent another breakout this fall. Those choosing not to get a vaccine will bear the bulk of this cost. They may learn the hard way...

You don't think a POTUS who treated it seriously would have made a difference? I don't understand how anyone could think that.
You can argue that he DID treat it seriously in private, but I have my doubts about that. He certainly did not lead.

Question... when he imposed a travel ban to Europe he was heavily criticized.
Was that action wrong?
