Say what you want about Kim Hill but for Imoco she gave them exactly what they wanted and needed which was solid reception, good floor defense, serving and enough attack skill to not be a negative on the floor. It. does. not. matter. what. she. did. for. Imoco (Which again, in terms of offense was not a whole lot) How much better was Fenerbahce with K-Rob? Loads! Because her specific skillset was what that team needed. It's the same reason she'd be a no brainer starter OH for the majority of NT in the world. That doesn't mean she is the best option for USA based on the pieces around her. The same goes for Hill. Unless we suddenly manifested an Egonu out of nowhere, the circumstances are not the same in terms of what we would need from her at that position. kindly asking for Krob to transfer federations and come play for Serbia |

Blocking Stysiak isn’t that big a deal. She drags the ball down a ton. Larson is a better block than Hill. Cant say the same for Krob. Left side blocking won’t win the USA the Olympics. Hill is a good player in many aspects, but just because she blocked Stysiak (the highest error opp probably) should not warrant her a start. who said she should start because of her blocked against stysiak in 4x? Larson will start for sure not because she is better than krob/hill but of course added to that she is the team captain. We all have our own opinion and observation and this is our side. |

Whatever you say about her, the 4x consecutive blocked against a tier 2/3 player was already documented by another biased coach. So if he and his co kumabaya think she can help the team better then he should put her there over her favourite player and set aside his ego.

You’re using her blocking as a point for something 🤷🏻♂️ i am going against those fans questioning her being in the tokyo roster over their favorites. She has a chance to start and that's my opinion. Imagine if she can't start she can still be useful as serve sub. But how about 1 of Krob-larson-mbh. What will they do? |

Not as starters. Hill subbed in 2 matches that Larson started in.

I may have a tendency to channel the dark side and see the negatives over the positives. I just have not been impressed with the USA to this point. They have, for the most part, had a massive edge in talent on the floor in all of their matches. I think the only time I had a fleeting moment of doubt that they would win a match is when Brazil started pushing them hard in sets 3 & 4. But, they haven't lost yet.
It just feels like they either are going through the motions because they know nobody can hang with them over a 5-setter, or they haven't come close to finding their A-game. Today isn't the best example, because I don't think you'll have a medal round lineup including Hill or Hancock, and certainly not Dixon, or a lineup without Larson. I thought Poland was a good team, but woman-for-woman could not match up with the USA talent-wise. Yet, there they were with their 3rd (4th?) best setter going toe-to-toe with USA.
Again, Mr. Negativity here. But, I want to see them kick it into high gear. Saw it for about 2 sets vs Brazil. Just not sure they can do it with any consistency.
