I feel like I'm being slow on the uptake, but can someone explain why there is one schedule here (https://usavolleyball.org/events/tokyo-olympic-games/) and another schedule everyone else? bc USAV sucks lol There was a discussion about this in another thread (I dont remember where) The schedule is labeled eastern when it should be mountain time. (for the women anyways)

Anyone from Canada? How can I watch Olympic volleyball games in Canada if I don't have cable TV? CBC Sports is an app that you can use. They will likely have coverage on the Olympics. For Rio, they had coverage from CBC Sports or an app like it. As far as I know, there is not any signup, you just have to be in Canada I believe

I’m really curious to see how Italy will perform at the Olympics. Yes, Egonu is otherworldly, but Italy as a team is pretty inconsistent. In 2018 when they got 2nd at the world championships, they went five with Japan who is quite a bit better now, and that is a potential QF meeting. Mix in the possibility of local fans and that can be very dangerous.
In 2019, they were swept by Turkey and lost to the Chinese B team in the VNL final round. Then later in 2019 at the European Championships, they had some really high error matches that resulted in a loss to Poland and a really messy win against Russia.
I thought they looked fantastic for the majority of the World Championships in 2018. But I don’t think they’ve looked as good since then. The injury to L. Bosetti certainly didn’t help, but they aren’t going to have her start at the Olympics anyways. I would really like to see them in the semis, even win if the US doesn’t. But since they’ve been inconsistent in the past, i wonder how their performance will be.

I hope Serbia and Italy meet up in the QF's and one gets eliminated early.
I know it's wishful thinking, but it would serve them right for sending B-squads to the VNL. At least China sent their A-team for 2 weeks, I'll give them credit for that.

Teams that don't send their A players in pre-Olympic tournaments tend not to do so great at the Olympics or at least they achieved a result below their expectations. So your "hope" that Italy and Serbia bombs is quite possible and does have precedents.
