I am sad we lost out on Melissa Vargas to Turkey. She would have been great for us on the opposite or the outside. Oh well, what can we do what are your thoughts on moving bosko to the outside? that's a bad idea.

even if it means that a more terminal player than the current OHs takes her place on the right to pick up whatever is lost in the move ? yes. Both outsides are much better passers than her. Putting her into the passing formation jeopardizes 1) her attack 2) the middles She doesn't attack as well from the left pin as the right. And it takes away her D ball. Plus it takes away the advantage of swinging against opposing OH's. Opp's are (typically) better blockers.

Yes I agree with most of these points. I’m just suggesting it because if Bjelica is playing we don’t need bosko to be Wonder Woman we just need her to be very good and it would spread the block out more. Your reasons are valid though and I doubt we see it actually happen. Bjelica needs to learn to pass so she can be on the floor.

It's Maja being lazy with some #choices. Serbia outpassed both DR and Japan. There's no reason why Rasic and Popovic aren't getting more swings in system.

If we were gonna have a bad passing OH anyway it would have been nice to have Bjelica on the floor but now with this improved passing line up I get it.

It seemed like Serbia was in system like the entire Japan match and yet maja set bosko every single ball

I know many don't want to believe it but Maja has really fallen off in the last year and add into the fact that she doesn't have a reliable option on the left makes her job that much harder now...
The greatest setters make the average hitters (the outsides) look great. Is that happening?

I agree in club she was lackluster but in the 2 matches so far her location has been like perfect. She needs to set the middles more but her placement has been phenomenal.

Covid was not kind to Serbia.

Maja is capable of setting the middle on less than ideal passes. She needs to start using them more before Boskovics arm falls off.
