Look, at the end of the time, if they switch sides, great. If they don't, fine. There are bigger things to worry about right now. Like whether there will be a cluster of new infections developing at the Olympics and volleyball specifically. The last thing I want to see is some NT player getting infected and forcing not only her to stop playing but also forcing her whole team out of the tournament or even derailing the whole event. That is what I am most worried about. It wasn't something I was worried about. They're playing at the VNL just fine without switching sides. Logistics question =/= worry. I was only wondering if any press or reports have come out.

Japan loves covid theater. Expect a lot of drama and insane rules / gestures.

FIVB beach events this season still switched sides, almost obviously I know because of the significant effect wind has on beach.
But why do the switch in indoor volleyball anyways? Which Olympics was it that the a/c blew so vigorously that there was a good side/bad side in the indoor arena?

Well, I guess we will know more in a few days / weeks based off of the absolute disregard for protocols following both AAU and JO Nationals in Vegas. I shouldn't say disregard, no one is wearing masks and I (personally) don't think all these maskless people are ALL COVID free...think about that for a minute!

You are correct and probably will be until the end of time if you're waiting for all maskless people to ALL be COVID-free.

Not sure what protocols you're talking about? I'm pretty sure we're at a point where anyone in the US that wants a vaccine can get a vaccine, with the exception of children of anti-vaxxers. At this point, if you're not vaccinated and not wearing a mask, whatever happens to you happens and I won't lose sleep over it. The original idea of masking up was to protect your at-risk family/neighbors that were not vaccinated. Now it's more natural selection.
