For now the ruling is fairly limited. It really only covered educational expenses, which the NCAA tries to limit as part of an athletic aid grant.

It is a shame:
1) A college education is not considered adequate compensation for playing a sport 2) That the money involved couldn't be put to better use. Not back into the sport, not to coaches, not to the NCAA, not to players. Hell, how about making college more affordable to more people?
Priorities. Doesn't seem to be important.
