The Olympics are a lifelong pursuit, and I am certain there is a class of person looking toward it so much that transitioning for it wouldn't be out of bounds for them, leaving other women shaking their heads wondering what happened to their own space. I am not aware of any Olympic athlete (or really, any athlete) who has gone through everything required to transition their gender just in order to play women's sports. To me, the very idea is ridiculous.

We are still in the relatively early stages of what would seem to be a complicated issue. Agreed.

If they will let that happen, then majority of the players in women's tournament would be transgenders. This is nonsense. I will point out that THEY ALREADY DO ALLOW THIS, and yet "the majority of the players in women's tournament" are not transgender. Not yet but it will in the future. Think, why stay a man and become a mediocre athlete when you can be a woman and become a champion? That's an angle you need to look at. IN may not be prevalent now, but it will be in the future. We have sex segregated sports for a reason.

What do you think is going to happen in the future that is going to change about this? Yes, its allowed now with conditions. testosterone conditions. And I gave an opinion that they shouldn't allow it. This video was three years ago. This can well be your olympic athletes in Paris. I have nothing against transgender. Its awesome if a female transitioning to male can find glory as a man in the olympics. But like the video says, there is an advantage in sports when you transition from male to female and play competitively in womens sports. That is my OPINION.

What do you think is going to happen in the future that is going to change about this? It’s allowed now by the IOC, but… Only about half the counties in the UN allow people to transition genders, and here in the US, 24 states now have laws against transgender athletes. So when you say it is allowed now, it’s more complicated than that.

But my opposition is philosophical, so it doesn't really matter to me if it's 1 or 1,000,000 athletes.

To me, the very idea is ridiculous. From your wiki list of trans athletes, there are female athletes who have specifically stated they are waiting to transition to male until their playing career is over because the drugs would make them ineligible. People might not be transitioning to female just to play sports, but for an athlete, the incentives are massively different depending on which way they're transitioning.

You might think it ridiculous. But as the social, legal, and physical costs of transitioning fall, someone whose lifelong dream and goal playing a sport since they were 3 or 4 years old is to compete in the Olympics, it absolutely isn't ridiculous. I've watched people make identity claims to push their careers forward when there is a lull, and those were mediocre acting careers with far lower stakes than being at the top of their sport worldwide.
