What do you think of a Sander-Muagtutia as starting OH in the olympics? Against Tunisia sure. You need an OH2 who is a threat to beat the top 3 to 4 other teams in our Pool B. One who can clean up when needed. GM cannot do this at that level.

Thats for sure but he gets frustrated too much on the floor defense.

Do you think Shoji and Christenson should be considered on the Paris olympics? Or should we be training a libero and a setter now? As of right now, E.Shoji is 32, it's possible you could see a decline. Christensen, at this point, I'd consider him pretty much a lock. We should definitely be looking for a new liberos. As of right now, the main one I'd consider would be Gage Worsley.
I think, in terms of setters, there are guys already in the pipeline that can take over should anything happen to Christensen. Tuaniga, Ma'a, and even Joe Worsley come to mind.

Lucky no fault by GM… he could’ve caused an ankle injury there

It's not perfect but he is not terrible at it

Japan’s serving GM a lot but I can’t say I agree with that choice. DeFalco should be the target, or at least the seam between DeFalco and GM

Japan’s serve gives them the opportunity to run the Ishikawa pipe… USA probably doesn’t want him to heat up

Nishida blocked again, nice move by DeFalco. Then the ace by Christenson, looks like Takahashi made a move to his right but the ball was traveling towards the left sideline.

4 point explosion by USA. Japan will struggle getting to the podium I think the idealistic goal is a medal, but Japan’s realistic goal is probably to get out of pool play and hopefully get a good quarterfinal matchup. Their defense hasn’t been great and Nishida hasn’t been too sharp so far. Plus the serving has been so-so
