One REALLY encouraging takeaway from this match: Holt seems to have figured out his serve. He struggled with it all tournament, but today, had a few nice service runs. Japan is a really good passing team, but Holt was able to get them out of system a lot. If we want to medal in Tokyo, Holt has to be able to bring it from the service line.
I liked how the team seemed relaxed and did not mind being assertive and creative and trusting each other to make the next play. That bodes really well.
Andersen is still not at 100%, but you can see him getting more and more comfortable.

in the post-match interview, Speraw said Anderson was injured for the first part of the tournament, which probably explains a ton.

Hmm I don’t know the answer but I probably would say just go home, get some rest/final training in, and also I’m sure the whole bubble life has been stressful (at least I know it was for Japan as their coach stated that the players were affected by it). The teams will leave the bubble a day or two after completing their matches. Should be either tomorrow or Friday. Looks like the team is already back
