So, when does this roster of 12 drop? They said soon but it's getting ridiculous.

Yea, so, is that really the conclusion you take away from this? Huh? . . . It’s also fair to mention Karch doesn’t seem to agree with you. . . And Karch actually takes it a step further by playing the best players. . . ✌️ OMG, it was a joke As was my response. . . Omg

Various observers had different ideas about who should make the roster but I don't know anyone who thinks any choices were scandalous. Swindle and Singletary are two noteworthy alternates. Some thought Wrobel was going to make the roster.

I was a little shocked by the final roster as well. I just assumed that maybe some girls did not perform their best. I know that the Mikasa ball is different to work with. Some of the girls never touched that ball before the training. I mean there is always next year and goals to work on. Just to make the final 24 roster is a great accomplishment.

Sure, but c’mon it’s volleyball and these are gifted players.

Do you think think the parade of B1G coaches, including Cook and Sheffield, who watched every match Reilly played this summer were after a player they thought wasn’t the best setter in the class? I think it’s hard to argue she wasn’t the best setter at Nebraska’s dream team camp 3 weeks ago. But hey, who knows. . . We’ll see how it all works out. . .🏐

Speaking from personal experience, ALL of the players struggled with the ball. The way it was explained to me was that when the ball is served, it "floats" different and "drops" different. I can only go off of what the girls have said about the ball itself. I held the ball and it felt the same to me lol. So I would have to assume the girls know the subtle differences in the different balls they play with. The advice given to girls who play with this ball is to practice with it a lot because it is different.

I’d bet my bottom dollar that there are U18 girls out there that could have had an equal or better 3 day tryout.

Passing the ball feels different, defending the ball feels different, setting the ball feels different. There are 1st team All American players who have looked pedestrian at times playing with that ball. It’s not a bad thing it’s just different. Most importantly - people put way too much stock into who does and who does not make these junior teams and how the players perform during the competitions.

I don’t know why you’re downplaying it, it’s a great accomplishment. They were chosen out of many girls in their age group to represent their country. That’s a pretty big deal.
