I would hope and assume so but not sure.
Knuckleheads need to stay behind
I saw that 99% of the WNBA are....not that it matters.

I'm pretty sure almost all of the athletes will have been vaccinated before arriving in Tokyo.

Isn’t it voluntary? Although I’m sure it’s highly encouraged

If the line was at 99.5%, I'd bet the under.

The last I heard, the NBA is only around 70%.

The Brazilians will be 100% vaccinated soon. The Italians will be as well. DR should be (I think they actually got theirs first)
I would assume the Americans are (just because of the ease of access). China is too I think.
I don't think Japan is. Russia isn't (at least not 100%)

I'm pretty sure almost all of the athletes will have been vaccinated before arriving in Tokyo. I thought I saw someone on here say at least 1 or 2 are not/will not be vaccinated for Team USA.. but who knows what rumors are true here or not. Talk about a potential kumbaya breakdown if there is a disqualification. Does anyone know what the policies at the Olympics are going to be? Will 1 positive knock a team out - or will it knock out their roommate, or other close contacts, however that's being defined?

For a country, that I assume to be the most organized in the world, they’re not. At least with vaccinating their population.

If they start testing people and pull a NCAA on NC State move while having all those spectators in the buildings they are just as big of scumbags worried about politically correct optics and money. As long as you have fans, officials, staff members, operations people not vaccinated then who cares if the teams aren't fully vaccinated. All it will do is help a bunch of hypocrites out themselves.

Even in a country that puts such emphasis on organization and discipline, the Japanese have blind spots and dark secrets. Look at the woeful safety design of the Fukushima nuclear plant that cause the worst nuclear accident since Chernobyl. Look at their corrupt and criminal corporate culture like the Olympus Scandal and Ghosn's arrest and escape from Japan and Nissan. And I speak from personal experience as an American "expat" who has lived and worked in Japan.

You could argue that the Japanese learn from their mistakes and makes the necessary adjustments to not repeat history but this is one of those areas where they’ve failed given the countries excellences in most areas.
