BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week Caylee Parker, UConn, Sr., OH (Windsor, Ontario) UConn senior Caylee Parker wins BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week for the second straight week and third time this season. Parker led all BIG EAST players with 4.33 kills per set across UConn’s 1-1 weekend which saw it clinch a BIG EAST Championship berth. The outside hitter started the weekend strong, registering her ninth double-double of the season with 22 kills and 10 digs in a five set win over St. John’s. Parker also added three blocks and hit .477 in the match. She would wrap up the weekend with 17 kills, eight digs and five blocks against Seton Hall on Saturday. BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week Rachel Krasowski, DePaul, So., L (Orland Park, Ill.) Rachel Krasowski, who win BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week after the initial week of play this season, earns the award for the second time. The sophomore led the league with 6.88 digs per set as the Blue Demons went 2-0 to capture their first BIG EAST Championship berth in program history. The sophomore recorded back-to-back matches with over 20 digs, the first time she has eclipsed that mark in nearly two months. Krasowski had 27 digs in the four set win over Butler on Friday, and followed that up with 28 digs and six assists on Sunday against Xavier. BIG EAST Freshman of the Week Norah Sis, Creighton, Fr., OH (Papillion, Neb.) Creighton freshman Norah Sis had another standout weekend, averaging 3.33 kills and 3.67 digs per set as the first-place Bluejays won each of their matches. Sis recorded eight kills, 15 digs and three blocks in a sweep of Georgetown on Friday, followed by 12 kills on a .500 hitting percentage and seven digs against Villanova. Sis now joins teammate Jaela Zimmerman as the only players in the BIG EAST to average over 3.00 kills per set and 3.00 digs per set this season. BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll Melody Davidson, Butler, R-Sr., MB (Anderson, Ind.) Davidson did it on both sides once again for the Bulldogs, averaging 2.71 kills per set and 1.43 blocks per set. After an 11-kill, six-block effort against DePaul, she concluded the weekend with eight kills and four blocks on Sunday against Marquette. Hanna Karl, DePaul, So., OH (Carlsbad, Calif.) Sophomore Hanna Karl recorded a pair of double-doubles this weekend and averaged 4.25 kills per set, good enough for second in the BIG EAST this past weekend. Karl had 16 kills and 11 digs in the win over Butler, followed by 18 kills on .410 hitting and 10 digs against Xavier. Elissa Barbosa, Georgetown, Sr., OH (San Antonio, Texas) Georgetown’s Elissa Barbosa recorded a pair of double-digit dig matches, including her third double-double of the season on Saturday against Providence. Barbosa totaled 16 kills and 13 digs in the four set win over the Friars. Hope Werch, Marquette, Gr., OH (Neenah, Wis.) Werch narrowly missed double-doubles in each of her matches this weekend as the Golden Eagles finished 2-0. The graduate had 15 kills and eight digs on Saturday, followed by 14 kills and nine digs on Sunday. On the weekend, Werch averaged 4.14 kills per set and had a .312 hitting percentage. Perri Lucas, Seton Hall, So., OH (Chicago, Ill.) Lucas led the attack for Seton Hall, averaging 3.57 kills per set on a .358 hitting percentage as the Pirates earned wins over UConn and St. John’s. The Chicago, Ill. product amassed 16 kills on Saturday night, followed by nine more kills the next day in Queens.

Creighton will be honoring three seniors this Sunday on "Senior Day". Zimmerman will not be one of them. She must be returning next year for her bonus year.
