Hawaii finished 1st, SB 2nd Poly 3rd Bake 4th LB 5th (or tied for 5th) Irvine will finish tied for 5th if they win, or tied for 6th with Full if they lose to Bake - the only drama left now other than how many frequent flyer miles Hawaii gets Fullerton Tied for 6th or 7th (probably the best Fullerton finish in quite some time. Davis/SD tied for 8th North 10th Riverside 11th. in the end, not a lot unexpected, other than Bake surprising, and Davis pretty mewh huge room for improvement next season, and see if there's more coaching changes other than LB, looking mostly in Davis and IRvine's direction on that aspect Agree with your observations - especially for a coaching change at Davis. Pre-season predictions continually rank them to finish in the top half of the conference and they end up .500 or worse most years with an overall losing record since 2014. 2019 was their only post-season appearance in 20+ years. Irvine started the season hot and seemed to just run out of steam. The growth of UCI's Onye Ofoegbu is impressive. My two favorite players in the BW are UCI's Onye Ofoegbu and HU's Amber Igiede. The development of UCD players doesn't keep pace with the teams in the top half of the BW - and it really showed this year. The only team UCD swept was UCR and they got swept by CSUN..... that about sums it up for me! Imagine if Ofoegbu were to transfer to Hawaii. Her and Igeide in the middle!!!! One can wish.

Congrats to Van Sickle, Ohwobete, and Ah Mow!
Wonder if they didn’t allow Stockham to be named to the All-Freshman team. She was eligible for FOW honors so I would think she could be named to the team as well.

How could Stockham be a freshman? She played all last spring season at Indiana? That year doesn’t count against anyones eligibility Right but it makes you ineligible to be FOY in many places. The rule I saw was either you first enrolled in the Fall of 2021 or you didn't play in any matches in the spring. But I assume that each conference decides that for themselves. Although you'd think that the Big West would not allow ppl to play in the spring since the BW didn't play last season.

Morse and Stadthaus played in the spring and they are listed as freshmen on the Oregon roster. The whole thing is a mess.

Riley wagoner deserved some recognition!! Maybe the sportsmanship award like the Big 10 gives out eh?! In all seriousness, she did improve but her numbers didn’t show too much of an improvement. Fans know what she means to the team and that’s enough.

Fans know what she means to the team and that’s enough. Not to beat a dead horse but we really need to up the level of play at the OH2 position (not to mention OH1 for next year). Not to keep ragging on Riley but she only shows up in one category in the Big West stats and that's in the "Kills Per Set" category where she is 17th. I don't know what her hitting % is in conference because she's not in the top 20 in that category and the Big West only lists the top 20 in each category. Overall she hit .155 for the season in a weak conference. If we want to get our program relevant again we need to do better than that. She's the one only because we didn't have anyone else this past season.... With that being said, I hope she drastically improves in the off-season and makes me eat crow......

She’s definitely more suited to being a DS. I hope she serve us both crow sans platter come next season.

I think we should be fair when we use statistics. For one thing, if you're listed in the top 20 in a stat it means you in the top 10% of all players. Even that can be misleading because the position played makes a difference depending on the category. It's common sense to leave setters, liberos, and ds out of the hitting %. The two categories that would apply to Wags is hitting % and Kills/set. If you look at hitting %, the first 10 listed are all MB (I didn't have the time to check them all out). I'm not sure, but it looks like there's only one OH2 listed and that's Katie Kennedy at #19. There are a couple of OPP's. As for Kills/set, again, I don't see many OH2's mentioned. I think Utterback is an OPP and is listed after Wags but made the conference first team. Lovett from LB is an OH2 behind Kashauna and she's listed after Wags.
Don't think it's fair to denigrate Wags when the stats used don't support it. Go back and watch the last UCSB game. It wasn't for Riley, the Wahine could have been swept in 3 again. I don't know Riley or her friends/family. I believe in trying to be fair. Oh, and by the way, I do believe that Mia Johnson is a talent and might have started for a lot of other teams, she's just not ready to displace Riley yet.
