Was Rivera like really good in her prime. Nothing really out of this world. She's always hit a heavy ball and used to have a little more elevation and better defensively. I'm surprised she still brings the heat now. She was pretty clutch at times in the 2014 WCh run.

South Korea up 2-1 in the match. If DR is going to win this, it'll have to be done in 5.
If they lose this, they are still alive thanks to going to 5 with Brazil. DR-Japan is the last meaningful match of the Olympics. There could be a scenario where a certain result puts *both* teams through, or it could be one or the other depending on what happens with Korea/Japan.

Hmm. DR has opted to send Rivera to the bench. Her offensive numbers were good. Gaila is the better blocker though.

Japan in a position to arrange a match outcome that puts both teams through? Where have we seen that before? But to be honest, DR is too inconsistent and uncontrolled to rig a match outcome.

Why does Korea not want to go to Kim on the pipe? I don't understand. On scramble plays, KYK isn't even ready to attack, so I feel like this is by design?

WTF?! I'm so over these carry/lift calls. Ridiculous. ALL setter dumps should practically be called then, but they won't, watch.

not even covid can stop the dominicana from being the dominicana 25-15 Dominicana takes the 4th and you guessed it.. WE'RE GOING 5! This is match #14 of the Olympics. 11 of the prior 13 matches were 3-0 sweeps. 1 of the matches was 3-1. This is just the 2nd 5-set match, and of course, both 5-set matches have involved the Dominican Republic.
