Nothing really out of this world. She's always hit a heavy ball and used to have a little more elevation and better defensively. I'm surprised she still brings the heat now. She was pretty clutch at times in the 2014 WCh run.

If they lose this, they are still alive thanks to going to 5 with Brazil. DR-Japan is the last meaningful match of the Olympics. There could be a scenario where a certain result puts *both* teams through, or it could be one or the other depending on what happens with Korea/Japan.

Hmm. DR has opted to send Rivera to the bench. Her offensive numbers were good. Gaila is the better blocker though.

Japan in a position to arrange a match outcome that puts both teams through? Where have we seen that before?

But to be honest, DR is too inconsistent and uncontrolled to rig a match outcome.
