hmm people keep saying one woman show blah blah blah like it’s a bad thing. When that one woman is the best player in the world coupled with excellent setting it’s a pretty effective “show” plus lets not like USA was trying to be at all diverse before JT got injured. Does it matter that Serbia relies on Tijana so much when she comes through for them time and time again? Just because the USA's most successful player has been their opposite, doesn't mean they're not trying to be diverse. If anything, this diversity has helped their Opp (now if only it could translate to less MBH errors) Attempts by position USA: Opp-229 (31.8%), OH-343 (47.7%), MB-136 (18.9%), S-11 (1.6%) Serbia: Opp-241 (44.2%), OH-173 (31.5%), MB-117 (21.3%), S-17 (3%) It's a bad thing when Boskovic has a bad day and Serbia has no plan B.... or Serbia doesn't get anything from anyone else (USA has swept a 28-point Boskovic before) Not to mention that USA's opposite attacks have been almost a 50-50 split between two players and almost all of Serbia's have been one person. At some point in the future (maybe not necessarily in these Olympics), Boskovic will have a subpar match (maybe it was the S. Korea match when they barely needed her and she hit .190).

If usa has krob for mbh, serbia has mihajlovic. Which one will be the hero and game changer if this happen?

Do you have that? Obviously there is always an element of game plan and opposition when comparing your own setters but its still fun to see.

Hancock came in previously to other matches too) Hancock Opp: 64 (33.5%) MB: 35 (18.3%) OH: 92 (48.2%) Poulter Opp: 165 (31.9%) MB: 101 (19.5%) OH: 251 (48.6%)

You're back!!!

Hopefully USA can get it in 4 or less. But if they need 5 to do it, I won’t be mad.

The key to this match is the key. If USA can get off to a strong ending and work their way backwards, they really do have a shot at leveraging Serbia's weaknesses against themselves and coming out of this match as either a winner or a loser. If, on the other hand, Serbia can build a collective wall with impenetrable skill and run circles around the ball while focusing on what really matters...well, they might just succeed in their pursuit to leave the floor only to return where they started. I expect a highly-efficacious match played to the last drop. May the best people be victorious.

Bettings odds of Thompson playing?
IMO Annie starts and Thompson comes in if she struggles, even if early on
