Not an accident USA volleyball chose to show a video of those specific players at practice. Keep Serbia guessing and spending time and energy preparing for any combination

So is Thompson still injured out of it or did Annie earn the right to keep her spot?

So is Thompson still injured out of it or did Annie earn the right to keep her spot? That is my big question. Is Thompson going to play in the medal match or not? Regardless, Drews has filled in very well. Thougts?

I’m pretty sure the outcome of the 1995 Women’s 35-and-over division at Nationals would have been different if my sprained ankle had gotten the same treatment as JT and JP. 😂 Our backup setter was 3 weeks postpartum. 😐
Really incredible how quickly the medical staff got them back on the court!!

Regardless, Drews has filled in very well. Thougts? I think Drews and Poulter connect well on the faster sets to the right and Thompson needs a higher set. I think Karch likes the quicker balls. It is a good problem to have, if we can't generate the quick attacks then I think JT comes in.

Regardless, Drews has filled in very well. Thougts? As much as I love Annie, I'd want Thompson to start. Establish that right side block against Gabi and contain Fe Garay. I think if we're lacking offense from JT, bring in Drews. I do think Drews has been playing a level above with every single tournament. She's getting more blocks, digging balls that can actually be set now, and her serve has come on strong. And obviously she is learning to adjust her offense constantly so teams don't block her as much. I'd never have a problem with her starting but Brazil has weapons they will utilize if you don't get in their head with the block.

Some very good points. I'm a momentum guy and what Drews did versus Serbia was great. I'd like to go with the hot hand unless she starts to have issues, and then I would ask JT to step in and do what she does. No right answer - we will see what Karch decides. I like the options though - Annie playing the way she is and JT anytime - both winning choices. Go USA!!!

It helps that both are relatively young. A few years ago, I saw a soccer injury like JP's; the girl was in tears. After a couple minutes she was back on the field playing. Having seen that, I felt like JP and JT had a good chance of playing again.

It certainly helps JP doesn’t have to run down passes! We are really passing well.

Momentum guy too: dont break up the vibe: but if JT is a go for her ankle she is still a better attacker than Drews: as goo as drews has been JT has still been significantly better: according to stats she has 554efficiency to a 450 . What would be really interesting is if there was away to play JT on left woth drews on right!!!!!

Jordan and Justine passing 95% of balls?
