Classic spanish couple: Lili-Elsa. Elsa is retiring but Lili is searching for new partner for trying her 4th Olimpyc Games in Paris 2024. It sounds TCU´s sophomores Tania Mateeva or Daniela Alvarez Kind of sad that the longest partnership in the women's tour is ending. Not sure who will have that honour now. With Slukova stepping down and this, there is no pair left on tour from the Rio Olympìcs. Do you have any insights into her possible new partner?, I see the TCU option unlikely (even though i would like it) Lili strikes me as someone looking for a partner that can be trainig with her full time, possibly moving to Tenerife. I guess we'll see some indication if she signs up for the Itapema 4*.
In other Spanish news, Herrera/Gavira are taking some time to think about the future of the team. If Herrera decides not to try for his 6th Olympics Gavira/Huerta seems like the most likely option.
I’ve read somewhere that Maria Carro, the 1.91m-tall blocker, could be an option for Lili as well….Gavira and Huerta are entered for Itapema, not sure if Herrera has decided something or just isn’t going to play this event

Just saw on Instagram that Herrera/Gavira are making a run at Paris. So they are sticking together for one more Olympic run.

Okay also on Instagram, Bruno also posted about his surgery on his knee and that after he is recovered his one goal is Paris!!! So that is very interesting and I don't know who he will try to get (Andre maybe). Don't know of another blocker for Brazil.

It's not a new team, but Carambula/Rossi posted yesterday that their new coach from now on will be Ricardo. Interesting, to say the least...

Yes I saw that. Curious to see if we see a major improvement because of this. I don't think Adrian and his partner got much help from Italy so I think getting someone with Ricardo's experience is always a great thing.

Ranghieri/Lupo are a new combo for Italy.

I thought Carambula/Rossi split. Not true?

Alexander Horst will play with Julian Hörl. They have the goal of qualifying for Paris 2024 (which I highly doubt) Clemens Doppler will pair up with Thomas Kunert and most probably will continue only nationally.

Good for them, after Bieneck retired Isabel needed a blocker and Sandra's second partnership with Beherns wasn't fruitful in results. I feel both could do better than they did this Quad.

Why do I have a feeling that Maggie is done with beach volleyball and just waiting for the right timing to make the announcement.
And Kira has been awfully quiet.

So is Laura Ludwig retiring?
I can't see Maggie and Kira having the drive to grind on the world tour for the next world champs or Olympics. They probably play the domestic tour and some close by fivb events.
