I have a flight Sunday morning at 6:30am so I don't think I'll be able to watch live... ugh. If it's on Spirit Airlines, you'll be watching. lolololol alas no.

Just a pre-game reminder that all of these players play professionally through out the year and you're more than welcome to join the international threads for their league matches (some week days end of Sept-April, mostly weekend mornings) Turkish League Thread : Jordan Thompson, Michelle Bartsch-Hackley, Chiaka Obgogu Italian League Thread : Jordyn Poulter, Micha Hancock, Haleigh Washington German League Thread : Justine Wong-Orantes Japanese League (no thread yet): Kelsey Robinson, Annie Drews Undecided/unknown/retirement?: Jordan Larson, Foluke Akinradewo, Kim Hill And the thread where almost every other American in a major league is playing

Well… who would’ve thought this would be the matchup in the final? Both teams are similar in that they’re balanced, but I think Brazil will get their middles involved more. Both are good passing teams, good defensive teams, like they’re pretty evenly matched on paper when going by position for position.
Fe Garay is looking like the most dominant OH in the Olympics, we’ll see how the US does against her. She was a non factor in the VNL final, but it’s hard to think she’ll have a repeat of that performance. Lately, MBH has been getting off to good starts, but considerably cools off throughout the match. I’m hoping this will be her best offensive match of the Olympics start to finish, but if Larson can do what she did against Serbia than it might not be needed. Either way, I am hoping to see USA, and especially Larson and Akinradewo go out with a gold 🙏🏼

Also, who do people think is the better libero between JWO and Brait? A year ago I would’ve taken Brait, but JWO at these games…. Idk tbh I like her more 😬

USA in 4. USA is better in every position except middle. If they can keep Brazil off in serve receive, then you restrict their advantage. ummm.... USA is definitely better in the middle.

Brazil scares me but I’m confident the way the US has been playing. I like the duo karch went with at OH. And I guess keep playing Drew’s until struggles she’s been playing great so far. We need to have more middle offense tho. Foluke and haleigh were both pretty effective but don’t get set often enough. Especially in transition
