Karch did a great job, I had a lot of doubts but he did this sh*t. He deserves to lead this squad through Paris. Love it, so proud of the USA squad. Chemistry chemistry chemistry. Sure “better” players may have been left behind. Players who maybe could of made a bigger impact under clutch situations but the bond these girls shared was unreal. Not to say chemistry would of been bad with other players, but I’m sure karch picked his players for a reason.

Apologies need to be made to Micha Hancock as well. She did a phenomenal job when JP was out of commission temporarily.

Minus the OHS, our opp, setter and middle could of stepped in at any point and contributed. It was beautiful to see

I am not just sorry. I am very very sorry. Thanks for the gold medal.
I once compared him to MiKE Sealy, lucky to win a big tournament in their second year and went downhill since then. Feeling really stupid now
I still think Sealy sucks

Infinite wrongs and weak competition, if only Karch would apologize one day.

Not surprised by the desperate "ends justify the means" ethics by nearly everyone here.
Karch slow-rolling his cancer story one set before gold takes the cake.

Karch has improved as a coach over the past 10 years. The coach today isn't the same one who took over the program.
That's great for him, not only did he win, but the pipeline for the future is well stocked. Even though we don't have a professional league, things are well set up for the future.

Karchs gold does not forgive the mistakes of the past but it certainly does validate some of his choices for this quad. I think sometimes the stars align just right and that’s what happened. Full credit to him the staff and the team for overcoming resilience and pushing to reach the peak to call themselves the best team in the world.
I don’t know why everyone on this board assumes that people dislike Karch based on just one decision. Most users here are fully invested in the ins and outs of the teams. The players treatment, the roster choices etc. and to deny that Karch has made some questionable decisions in the past all because he won gold in the present doesn’t erase any of that or atone for those mistakes or behaviors. I have never loved Karch as a coach neither do I hate him I am somewhat indifferent but his criticism has been warranted more often than not.
With that said him and this team deserve this they fought a tough stretch of volleyball and in a delayed year full of uncertainty about the Olympics they did it. Very happy for all the girls on the team and the coaching staff well deserved, This does give me some more faith in the team going forward as many of these girls will surely be around to play in Paris and who knows maybe back on home soil in LA. You did it ladies!!!
Also to win as a player in the most competitive setting on sand, indoors and again as a coach. I mean say what you want but Karch will be remembered the most decorated person ever to participate in the sport volleyball. That alone speak volumes. Lastly here’s to his health I thought the timing of the reveal was a little unnecessary but I would never wish bad health on anyone and I am glad he is feeling great as his yell with Washington in the interview showed loved that moment he really does care about these players and Team USA.

Amid all the celebrations, can we take a moment to pray for Reach. I know how bad she wanted USA to fail. Hope she doesn't take this L too hard. The story of Reach: 🙈 Envy. 🙉 Denial. 🙊 Lies. He was a farce. Team USA was a force.

Making mistakes is a big part of learning. Karch is a lifelong learner, he would be the first one to admit his mistakes. But. There are many here who had gone beyond pointing the mistakes, they have assuaged their own inadequacies by going beyond the pale. I don't know what hou have done in this regard but your defensive tone speaks volumes.

When did he admit these mistakes or offer any type of apology or acknowledgment cause I must have missed that part? Look I’m not defensive just there are some inconsistencies I do not like end scene. I am not too invested. Like I said previous I don’t hate or love Karch, I am indifferent unlike some users who I am sure would have preferred we lose to tear him down. Congrats to him no one on this board can take away that he coached this team to Gold.
