CSU sweeps Wyoming -18, -17, -22 I watched the whole match. I'm a little disappointed in Wyoming, but, Colorado State is also playing much better. Is Pritchard setting better than last year, are the middles improved, or a little bit of both? I felt like the quick middle was much better than I remember post-Hougaard/Hillyer. I like listening to this broadcast. I like listening to Hilbert as well in the post-match. Even when he's mad!

I'd say both - the spring season (and non-conference) was honestly a mess with Pritchard setting for the first time, Leber as a true freshman, and Colombo filling in the middle after playing mainly as a right side. I think it took some time for the connections to grow. I'd also add that CSU played a tougher non-conference that most, if not all, of the MW - so I think that really helped prepare them for conference play. It may not be there numbers-wise in terms of RPI, but they played more P5 opponents that the rest of the conference.

Pritchard is setting a little better but the middles are playing much better than last year. Especially their blocking, it was almost impossible to play defense around the holes in the block last year. Leiber is getting more terminal.

I think Colorado State, UNLV and San Jose State played significantly tougher non-conference schedules than the rest of the conference. All three are currently in the low-to-mid 50s in RPI, while everyone else in the conference isn't in the top 100.

The Mountain West is just gonna be wild this year, huh?
Fresno State is just ALL over Colorado State now, and San Jose State beats Boise State 28-26 in set 1.

Go Bulldogs! Fresno State is adding an awesome Lincolnite to the roster next year.

Boise State recovered in set 2, then they take set 3 25-7(!) to take a 2-1 lead in the match against San Jose State.
After scoring just 7 points in the 3rd, SJSU now leads the 4th 10-4. Lol.

Colorado State just lost the match, 26-24 in the 4th, on a ROTATION ERROR?!

Welp. Looks like there will be no at-large bid from the Mountain West this year with all of the chaos that has happened!

Hilbert was p*ssed. The announcer said *He needs to be careful*.... the match was already over? Unless he's worried about Hilbert getting suspended by the NCAA for subsequent actions. I don't remember seeing much of the argument though - camera panned out and went off screen pretty quickly.
