volleyballmag.com/usa-collegiate-team-032222/Congrats to Shannon Scully for making the (Indoor) U.S. Women’s Collegiate National Team, along with incoming transfer Skylar Fields and freshman Mia Tuaniga. 38 players will hold a training camp June 19-25. Wonder if she’ll go or if her indoor career is over.

Beaten by a 5'11, 5'8 pair, (one having no beach experience) that are not starting for CSU Bakersfield. This isn't pro sports where players are brought in to make some immediate impact. Should be looked on as about on par with incoming freshman, some have what it takes to start and some don't.

Yeah, that’s what I’d do, but don’t think today’s opponents are top notch so Dain might choose to mix and match even more. 1. Harward/Scoles 2. Kraft/Maple 3. Nourse/Nourse 4. Ebertin/Villapando 5. Scully/Schafer Nourses have only been playing one match a day it seems so maybe one twin can pair with Hallgren or Hansen for the weaker opponent. One of the PAC-12 networks should be showing the 2pm contest. Will just have to flip around to see which is. I miss Anne Marie Anderson and Holly McPeak. Maybe the announcers will switch between morning and afternoon sessions….

Great to see the return of Sammy Slater. Slater appears to be doing a really good job of getting Caroline Schafer into the right position to excel in the first set. I would keep them together for a few more matches to see if Slater’s game management can overcome Schaefer’s inconsistency. Schafer can really hammer the ball, but that won’t be enough to beat the elite teams. And Congrats to Sammy for her 100th career victory! http://instagram.com/p/Cbl_qrxuiG7

Well, if you look at LSU's roster, they start indoor transfers at the 2 and 3 teams I believe. Monsorez is getting run in UCLA's line up. I'm a fan of Hammons, but she didn't start indoors at UF, not sure who was "overhyping" her.

To me, starting indoor players is a sign of being a 2nd tier program. TCU did this back when they couldn't make the playoffs. I don't blame the coach, if anybody can make it work he can, but the school is just stingy with scholarship money and offering in-state tuition. I'm not focusing on any particular player. I just see these rosy posts about so and so transferring in, listing their accolades, and they aren't any better than the freshman coming in.
