Yes, that's a good point. However, I don't imagine that OSU is going to tear through the PAC like a hot knife through butter, so their final record is probably going to be pretty dismal. But the Arizonas probably will be pretty dismal too. And I doubt CU/Utah finish as the toughest draw by record. We'll find out, I guess. But starting out with the OoC record they have (and also being pretty good teams), I still wouldn't be surprised if the Utah/Colorado pairing ends up being the highest combined record. The other main possibility is Washington/WSU (13-5). UCLA/USC seems less likely, both because of where they are starting (11-6) and where USC seems to be as a team right now.

The boost will be based on final records, not OOC. Yes, that's a good point. However, I don't imagine that OSU is going to tear through the PAC like a hot knife through butter, so their final record is probably going to be pretty dismal. OSU is going to be like a straw trying to cut through a block of ice.

OSU is going to be like a straw trying to cut through a block of ice. Wow that's harsh lol. Well I give them a better chance than that if and when they have 3 of the better plays back in action, but not much more of a chance.

Colorado with a surprise top 3 finish this year, you heard it here first!

Colorado with a surprise top 3 finish this year, you heard it here first! If Parker was not out for the season I could see it. Jill does good on the right side but she is not the biggest blocker. I am also interested to see how Clayton does against the bigger blocks in the Pac-12. She is actually undersized at a generous 5’10. I would love to see it but they might be one or two fire power players short.

Hit a little over .200, 3+ kills per set. Named all Pac Honorable Mention. And she did that with the constant carousel of players on the court. She is Colorado's offense. Tabron and Schneggenburger are going to decide whether Colorado can hang with the Pac this year.

Tabron and Schneggenburger are going to decide whether Colorado can hang with the Pac this year. Not quite. Colorado actually spreads the offense (and gets kills) quite a bit compared to other teams that rely heavily on their main OH. Clayton does get the most kills on the team (like many OH's). Clayton also looks to be hitting more aggressively and efficiently than last season. She looks fitter and happier. It is true that Tabron and Schneg will be a big factor on how Colorado does. Kuehl is getting better each match and will need to step up too. There is still a chance that the previously acclaimed Campbell may come in after recovering from injury and could replace Tabron when/if needed. Colorado can definitely hang with the PAC. That's not the question. The question is, will they finish in the top half of the PAC or not.

I guess I am saying for CU to finish top 3 Clayton is going to have to hit over .300. They can definitely finish top 7 with her hitting over .200. I don’t think CU has enough firepower to consistently beat Washington, Oregon, Stanford, UCLA. Maybe a win or two out of the 7 times they will play those 4 teams. Plus the way USC started and ended in the spring was completely different. I expect them to improve immensely. Plus CU never does well against them. I see CU finishing between 5-8. They will win and lose some matches they shouldn’t.

I'd love for Colorado to win 13 PAC matches, but I'm not expecting more than 11 wins for them. Makes better sense to switch Oregon and Colorado here, but I know it's Pablo just doing its thing. We shall see...

We shall see... I am sure that pablo "noticed" Oregon's difficulties this past weekend. Of course pablo doesn't "know" Nuneviller was mostly unavailable.

What would Hawaii's record be using pablo if they played in the pac. You can take out USC since they already played.

Note that for "expected record", Washington benefits from only playing Utah and Colorado once. By pablo those are two of the four best teams, and by playing them only once Washington gets a buff on their expected record. Likewise (but to a lesser extent), Colorado and Utah get a buff by only having to play the best team (according to pablo) once.

Normally I would be inclined to answer that for fun, but I hurt myself pretty badly today. (I think I broke my wrist. Got to go get a doctor appointment.) Anyway, the point is that's too much work for me to do right now.
