Sorry about the broken list wrist, but I hear there's a lot of that going around in this day of OnlyFans. Anywho, what's the deal with the weird first day schedules this year regarding UW & WSU? I thought the first day of PAC conference play was always rivalry matches. But this year, UW is playing Utah first and WSU is playing CU. Everyone else seems to have their normal 'travel partners' on day one. Has there been some explanation of this that I missed? Inquiring minds want to know.

The point is.. it's not a Danish name. There are English-speaking people named "Dulcinea," "Esmeralda" and "Aristotle," that doesn't make them English names. A very small handful of people in Denmark named their kid after a Shakespeare character, and now it's on the internet on a German website written in English as a "Danish name." And then someone on a volleyball message board confuses Danish/Dutch and then tried to claim it came from Old Norse, and here we are.

As someone whose Dutch expertise is limited to the occassionnal drive-thru at a Dutch Bros. coffee, this thread has taken a curious turn. Doe maar Normaal, dan doe je al gek genoeg. (But, I must say, the rtael "Sorry, what was that Karen?" is a pretty sick burn.)

I want to add my condolences on the wrist injury. Seriously. Typing is such a chore. Get better soon.
On a less serious note, one thing to keep in mind are these words of wisdom from the Coen Brothers via M. Emmet Walsh in the movie Blood Simple:

I believe the Karen would be the person who confused two different countries, and then is insisting their two-minute Google gives them more knowledge about the language of one of them than someone who actually speaks that language. That's prototypical “do your own research” Karen-ing.
