Inhumane.
Would anyone in the Biden administration care to explain why CBP agents are carrying whips and doing horseback charges against asylum seekers?

Or, for that matter, why we are breaking our treaty obligations by not granting these people asylum and terrorizing them in the process.

Any idea how they're traveling from Haiti to the US/ Mexican border?

Any idea how they're traveling from Haiti to the US/ Mexican border? Why is this relevant? I was just curious as to how thousands of people from an island hundreds of miles away ended up by the Texas border. Also no one else had responded to the thread yet but I didn't want it to slip through the cracks.

Whoever is in charge of the federal government should tell CBP to stop doing this.

Maybe border patrol agents wouldn't take whips to Haitian refugees if the Biden administration stopped deporting Haitian refugees. On the other hand, maybe not, but it would be a good start.

Maybe it hasn't been clearly communicated to them what their protocol should be in this particular instance. Their job is to not allow 15,000 people from illegally crossing. I'm almost surprised they're only swinging whips. My question is IF they are welcomed in this country (and I'm not sure why they wouldn't be) why are they being flown back by the thousands?

Basically my question is how is it that we have 15,000 people living under a bridge waiting to play red rover?

No, the United States is party to the 1967 UN protocol regarding refugees and we have a legal responsibility to adhere to that treaty. We currently are not.
