This match really is a toss up in my mind, after having watched them both. To me WSU has stronger offensive weapon options though, so I'm giving them the close nod, but I wouldn't be surprised if this went 5.

Right now, I'm leaning toward Colorado. Neither team has beaten a good team but Illinois (CO's best win) is a better team than Santa Barbara (WSU's best win) and Colorado State is pretty comparable to UCSB. I think I might be too stuck on the horrible set WSU had against UCSB, though, bc I started watching another match after that so didn't get to see them in the good sets against UCSB. Leah Clayton and Maya Tabron vs Pia Timmer and Magda Jehlářová: I think it's close but I'd probably give the nod to WSU, like you Jenna Ewert and Hannah Pukis: Two of the best setters in the PAC. I'd call it a draw Karly Basham and Brynna DeLuzio: I like DeLuzio more but I haven't seen much of Basham

Going with WSU in 4. Colorado's only quality win was against an Illinois team who will probably end up in the middle of the Big Ten race or lower. I like the weapons WSU has, and their record, although they have 4 losses, kind of makes them look bad, but they're all losses to quality teams.

Well first set is going as I anticipated. Cougs get it 25-19. WSU serving tougher and siding out better, but most other stats very close. Cougs spreading their offense very well, whereas COL being lead primarily by Jill and Leah.

WSU wins mostly on Colorado's bad serve-reception to be able to run an offense....but Colorado always has 1 set of bad serve reception.

Does anybody know why Julianna Dalton hasn't been playing? She's out for the season. I don't remember why. I think she had some kind of surgery It's in one of the threads for the very early matches. Maybe the tournament in S Carollina?

Really good rally ends in a point for WSU (kill by Pukis on a set by Tusa)
eta: Another good rally ends in a point for Colorado (kill by Schneggenburger)
