A hobbling Beavs fought hard and had a close 3rd set, but with so many freshman and sophomore playing, they are just struggling to put all the pieces together. They need to work on their serve receive and being a bit more consistent in their serves. Sounds like they won't get Mcdonald back this whole year due to ACL tear. Vernon did not play well, and seems well below her level from last year. Tkachenko is playing better this year at least. They could surprise a CAL or ASU possibly, but hopefully they have Massey back soon.
