btw Schwerin took set 1 against Nantes 25-14 and leads 19-15 in the second (according to live stats) Schwerin holds off Nantes and takes the match 3-2. I don't trust the CEV stats.

Dresdner desperately needs an OH that can swing. May would be a nice investment though idk how her passing would hold up. Drews too. edit: anyone know if Avery Skinner plans on going overseas? May is too good for Dresdner. She will go straight to Italy.

basil I don’t think Avery will, didn’t she get into some big graduate program at Baylor? Unless she can put that on pause

Automatic no's: Imoco, Novara, Chieri Almost Automatically No's: Vallefoglia, Perugia, Cuneo About too many foreigners: Bergamo, Scandicci Broke: Busto, Casalmaggiore Possibly: Monza (hired Plummer), Firenze (hired Foecke) Need the most help: Trentino, Roma, Busto (ope)

It would be great for the Italian league if fresh NCAA talent played in the lower half of the league to help strengthen the overall play of the league. It's a win win for both teams/players to develop and compete. I sometimes think these first year NCAA players just go for the most money they can find even if it doesn't lead to a long professional career. It's rare that players like KP come straight out of college and sign with a top team. JT & Carlini have been the most recent to make it to big teams from the get go in the last 5-6 years so I'm holding my breath on anyone graduating this year to make a huge splash.

Sheridan Atkinson too (Galatasaray... albeit a short stay lol) Top teams mostly have it together from the get go... they get first say in loading up on the foreign/domestic talent. JT helped fill in for injury at Fenerbahce. Im not sure we can label Scandicci as a big team lol Carlini helped make them that imo

Wasn’t a slouch of a team. Finished 3rd, no?

(or had elite players) Yea but clearly they had a plan that year. Was Haak an unknown at that time? Let’s put it this way…It wasn’t a team lacking big names.

Signed with Bergamo who is definitely bottom half and she's really carrying that team now. Hopefully she can move up a bit next season! Definitely deserves a shot on a better team.
