| Kingsley | 26.50 | Kills | 31.33 | 12.81 | Assists | 16.84 | 3.88 | Aces | 1.84 | 24.67 | Digs | 23.40 | 6.97 | Blocks | 5.15 |
It was a wild week. None of his players played till Friday, and by Thursday, it looked like I was going to have a leg up as in particular Petra Indrova's numbers were giving me a huge advantage. But, by Friday and Saturday, it shifted much more to a toss-up, but I would say it was in Kingsley's favor. Coming into today, I had a very slight lead in digs, but my players had high first dig matches so it was unlikely my numbers could go up much. But his team laid an egg in digs today basically. Of my 9 players who are eligible to get blocks, one of the nation's top blockers Leyla Blackwell was 2ND TO worst on my team! averaging 0.25 blocks/set and I could have almost lost that category with a sub by him as my other MB didn't play, but, I hung on in blocks thanks to my pin blockers having some extremely high numbers. Very strange week for sure. A very worthy opponent and either way I say either of us have to pay our respects to avid 2.0 as Taylor Wolf and Kendra Wait certainly put up Fantasy Champion-type numbers.....

vballfan17, I think I win 3-2 with none of your subs changing anything. Assists was actually super close due to Iowa State getting thrashed.

It really was a perfect storm that made me lose digs.
Today was terrible. I was in prime position to win going into today and everything fell apart. Taylor Kuper played against two teams this week that just spew the ball out of bounds. As a libero, she did not record a single dig in the second set against Maryland.
Rodriguez could have given me a sub opportunity this week, and then Rutgers got the Black Plague.

We stan. But I'm convinced there's some weird black magic sh*t that they do in the Wait family. Kansas (and Cassie) down 9-13 to USC in 2015 to Bricio and co. and they rally back to win 15-13 scoring 6 straight. Creighton (and Kendra) down 10-13 to USC in 2021 and they rally back to win 15-13 scoring 5 straight. She owed me. Cassie Wait served that run to win it for Kansas. Ironically, it was my other Fantasy player Jaela Zimmerman who served the run to win it for Creighton.

Not only did I need you to have a down day, but I also needed my Creighton pair who were averaging like 7+ digs per set combined to somehow sustain that and not push my numbers down. They somehow did. Jenna Story was also 100% worth blowing a #3 overall pick on a libero as well this entire year.

I believe huskerpower as I think he won the matchup over vbsam16 4-1 (pending subs)

After further review (and vbfan reminding me that he add/dropped 3 players), he wins 3-2. We will both make subs, I'm sure, but his will trump mine.
GG.
Thanks everyone for making this happen, even when we all thought that all was lost. A weird season (perhaps even more weird than the covid season?? certainly more dramatic...). This is always fun to be a part of. Maybe next year I'll finally try a different strategy!
Also, one suggestion: can we go back to specific conferences that we can choose from? While I liked the idea of the top 100 teams, It was so confusing trying to find eligible players when half of some teams in the main conferences weren't even eligible. It made it really hard to compare stats and find add/drops. But maybe I'm just too lazy to put in the work lol

That's where it gets tricky. I've also never been opposed to a wild-card rule though for very special players. I proposed it a few years back when I was an admin and let it up to a vote but it was (slightly) voted against. It was saying you could have 1 player on your team who didn't meet the traditional conference requirements. I like the Top 100 idea but I also do see how it is harder to sort through, for whatever that's worth.

Things will get interesting too in the next couple of years with all of the conference realignments.
